Go with the BL Medusa 4000kv tail motor. You'll wonder what you were waiting for.

Thanks BOB WHO?... yeah, that's the next move after I finish off(crash) the last GWS motor that's on it now... shouldn't take too long.

Don't worry about avoiding temptation. As you grow older, it will avoid you.

Hi All, Im looking at the Blade CP Pro for just going out back and practicing. What is the difference between the Blade CP Pro and the Pro V2? I see the CP Pro is discontinued. I should mention that I have been flying heli's off and on for years and now am really getting into them again. Thanks!!!

Difference

Several important differences in the Pro2: it has a more powerful (but brushed) motor and a direct-drive tail. It's a MUCH better machine.

The rotorhead, which always worked great is the same.

I love mine!!

The one, single thing the Pro2 really needs is the microheli swashplate. I'm ordering one in the next day or two for mine.

Now for REAL CP performance you need one of these:

I just came in from flying my CP Pro v1. WOW! Smooth, smooth smooth. I need to tweak it a little but all in all Im happy. This heli will be used for exactly what I bought it for. Love it. Since I bought it used I was a bit sceptical but the fellow who I bought it from took good care of it. It came with the upgrade Swash too. Now if I could make the sun come out when I wanted it to I could go back out and fly!

Love at first flight

I flew my Pro2 this morning too. I now have the microheli swash on it. This is more for durability than anything else - but you do get a little more throw out of it. I just HATE plastic balls. . . .

I also just installed Axe CP hiller paddles on it (tower hobbies, $4.99). Kicks up the cyclic rates just a touch, but very noticeably.

I'm with you, helipilot32, this machine is just FANTASTIC for what I use it for - throwing around with complete abandon. No, it doesn't have the power (or precision) of my double BL CP but that's not what it's for.

The Blade CP Pro 2 heli has to be one of the best stock helis available for the low entry price of $250.

Won a BCPP2 on eBay the other day. Labeled as for parts or fix. They didn't claim to know what was wrong with it, it just wouldn't lift off. All parts where there, RTF kit, with Gyro and everything for less than 100 bucks. Figured between my old blade and this new one, I'll have the V2 flying in no time! Also won a CNC head for 45 bucks. Yay for FleaBay.

I need one of those to fly in my office. Tried to fly my .90 in there but man is my wife pissed now!

I find that I have real specific desires as to when I want to fly the stocker. If I'm flying at a wide open field I'd rather fly my high powered precision choppers. But for tight places and situations where I might crash, the stocker really excels. I couldn't be without it.

how are the tail motors on the V2's? Do they last longer than the original CP? Nice that they're direct drive.

Im finding the parts to be readily available at my LHS which is a huge plus. Im thinking of going DD on the tail after the stock motor burns out. Anyone do a brushless conversion on the tail? This heli is sweet!!!

Ok I just had to share this:

I won a new Blade CP Pro V2 on eBay last week. It was sold AS-IS for parts or rebuild. Their reasoning was "It doesn't have enough lift, could be ESC or Motor". I figure if its broke I have an extra ESC and can buy a brushless motor for it. Well I got it yesterday, threw a fresh battery on it today, preflight and go. The damn thing flies perfect right out of the box. Has PLENTY of lift! Its a little too windy to really take it out, plus I need to dull down my thumbs after flying the mCX for so long... I nosed in on the first pull haha. I paid 87 dollars for a basically brand new V2. Wow. The gyro is a nice add for this model too, I was worried taking off from the grass that I'd have to recover the tail, but it didn't budge.

The only thing so far I've found its throttle hold acts like a cutoff to it, but I'm guessing thats the transmitter. I'll bind it to my DX6I later. Wow, I'm just stoked though!

I need one of those to fly in my office. Tried to fly my .90 in there but man is my wife pissed now!
