Tonight I finally made it into the air!! I am very excited by this and can't wait to do it again. This evening was about a year in the making for several reasons but I made it none the less. I was buddy boxed by my husband but I am already secretly wanting to be cut loose. I realize it is a safety issue so I will chill out. I am very grateful for the support of my husband and our friend Ray. The two of them have been with me every step of the way providing me with advice and encouragement. So, you will hear more from me in the future as I am adding myself to the ranks of female pilots not just a wife on the sidelines.

I really have been enjoying it. I am currently down because of a maintence issue. I have well over 10 tanks on her and no crashes yet.. knock on wood. I had a hard landing a time or two. I just really enjoy spending time with my husband and at our club.

ccobalt,
Congrats!! Had my 4th flight yesterday I know just how you feel, too long from one weekend to the next!I'm being taught by hubby as well but no buddy cord. Does your club have a lot of members? Is that why you have to use a buddy cord or is it personal choice?

When you're both involved it's a lot easier! And lots more fun. Now we're both flying the car isn't really big enough, bought a new one today that will fit all we need to take! So far my only problem has been my training undercarriage broke! One of the legs split, hope the new one arrives before the weekend!
