Just make sure you attend events with a well prepared site. I can remember a few years ago that Si Lockington reported on an FAI event somewhere in Asia that had a faily uneven field. Guys flying retract models had serious issues keeping the model from overturning. Even it's a small hole, if the wheel/strut funds it, you're liable to tip.

Unbeatable for the coolness factor, though.

it's just a shame that the back retracts don't go into the body - but what can you do, eh?

I might test my K&S retracts on my pod and boom model, we'll have to see how it goes.

Hi,

Now that is a Staysee body right?

Did you have to do anything special with the boom? I ask this because when I was looking into getting a Staysee body, the manual said you had to make the boom angle down from the body to the tail (I can't remember the amount of degrees). This meant you had to cut pieces of the frame which I did not like.

Anyway, did you do anything special? Then again, you might have an Eagle 3 in there, and maybe it differs from the Freya.

Hi,

yes it's a Staysee 2 body, yeah I know what you mean about the angle of the boom but that I think that was on the original Staysee, this one there is no mods or cutting at all

Just checked the manual if your fitting it to a normal Freya the only mod is to shave a little off the side of the tail gearbox and you need the floating dampers from the Eagle, hope that helps.

Simon,

Why did you get an UNPAINTED staysee? The painted ones are far too much value for money. It's going to cost you a fortune to get your fuse painted locally unless you know of a good deal that I'm not aware of.

My next fuse is Black Shark 3 T Type in Hashimoto scheme, in fact painted exactly in Hashimoto's current scheme. Don't know when I'll get round to this.

Dynamite,

The Super Gracy V2 was not designed by Scott Gray, it's called V2 because of the new decals that were designed by Scott Gray.

Yeah I do suppose I wish I got a painted one because it would of been alot cheaper but I wanted it to be different. The green and red one's do look nice though

I don't know what it's going to cost yet for the paint I'm waiting on my normal canopy to be painted at the moment but I'm going to get the Staysee to match.

Who sells the Black Shark one's ? are they easier to get on and off as the Staysee is quite a fiddle but looks good when on

Hi Simon,

They both come apart the same way. The Blackshark fuse doesn't have the mounts in the front section of the fuse like the staysee does. Its a fraction easier but it isn't as easy to build. There is no drill markings moulded into the fuse like the staysee and the only instructions you get with it are Japanese. Awesome fuse though.

Cheers
Brendan
