My Posts This: Topic Forum | That is posh Fredoc!! And a little bird tells me that the Wren 44 protoype has now had over 30 successful flights. Apparently folks, testing is being done by Wren's team in Luxemburg by Lucien, Olivier and Eric. This chap Lucien has been Wren's Turboprop pilot since the first turboprops in 2002. His Wren 54-powered Tucano has probably won more trophies than I've had speeding tickets. He says that his turboprop powered model is still going well after 5 years. Apparently also, Lucien did all the testing on the 44 turboprop prototypes himself with two of the engines tested for over a year in different airframes. He and Olivier, are now testing the 44 heli engine. I'm told that Lucien is the chief engineer and Olivier is the pilot. I think these chaps are part of Wrens research and devopment team so I would imagine that Wren would be pretty chuffed with the progress to date. Bloody nice job!! Must put 2 in my girlfriends stockings for Christmas!
