Ummm bro, hotwings is correct. All you have to do is like he said, go to the website and look at what is covered.

Homeowners has nothing to do with something you do at a field or school, etc....not to do with your home.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I had a heli lock out on me a several years ago.
Smashed through a guys van window & messed up his "A" pillar.
I was a renter. I filld out the forms & AMA paid the $3200.00 for his van repair & rental car.
I kicked in some money for him to make sure he wasn't out of pocket for anything.
All in all it was a painless(for me) claim.
I'll admit I was skeptical as to the AMA paying but they were fine to deal with.
BTW- it happened at a local AMA sanctioned club.
Oh- & I switched to PCM with failsafes from FM after that( was b4 2.4)

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Vance, I know someone that had the same car wreck as you, Except he was flying a pylon racer, ama would not pay a dime. I know a couple other people with incidents, they would not help them either, they did pay there deductable though.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		i caused a fellow flyer to crash because he was dodging my out of control aircraft and the ama paid over $3000 for his Giant Extra, i paid the $250 deductible,
my home burned and ama gave me $1000 as this is the limit for this occurance.
My friend got cut on both legs by an airplane (his) and AMa paid his medical expenses.

maa44646, it looks like you have some kind of agenda here, if you don't want AMA insurance don't get it. i hope i'm not flying near you if you have some accident.

Please cancel my clearance, I have the field in sight.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I have not flown at my club in over 5 years. The people that sat at the tables and would criticize everyone elses flying would always say "Do you have AMA?" I had sportflyer (I think that was the name) at the time. When they went out of business I ended up getting AMA, then the question became "When are you going to join the club" After a short time I just started avoiding going flying when anyone else was out at the field. Whats the point in having insurance if no ones within 1/2-3/4 a mile of you. I'm not going to be a member of their club when they sit behind you and give you $hit for flying a heli and how you fly. I have noticed one thing since I stopped going out there, It appears over the years less and less people want to fly with them.

Now I fly in a park and use common sense, If a crowd gathers to watch I just sit it down and wait till they leave. If nothings going on they don't stay around long.

Ninjaman hit the main reason I got into the AMA. I go to some really nice wide open parks to fly (wind permitting) and have not yet had a day when people didn't want to come over and ask me silly questions while I'm flying. I was new (still am, started in Jan 09) and got really nervous and just had to concentrate until I landed. Then the guy saw the sigh of relief and apologized... A woman and her dumb dog who wanted to chase the heli around... A Dad and 3 kids all running straight towards the "fun flying thing". there are a million reasons and they are all to do with other people and their things. I don't mind if I tag my own car, lol. I drive further and further out for fields, but people are always there... Do yourself a favor and you might even forget you paid for that little card in a week
