My Posts This: Topic Forum | Should have also added that it's great that folks are willing to post up when stuff like that happens. I was a private pilot for years and always read Flying magazine's 'Aftermath' column to learn what mistakes - or chain of mistakes - other pilots experienced in the hope that I would not repeat them myself. We can all learn from those who've have trouble. Thanks for offering us your lesson so that we may be that much more cautious.
I just built my very first nitro bird (a T600). I double checked everything and triple-checked anything having to do with blades and engine. Got it started, then went INSIDE the house to spool it up. I was pleased to note, while watching it through the porch storm door (that's THREE layer's of plexiglass between me and the blades), that it spooled up fine.
This forum keeps me from getting careless!
