not sure about the 500-550 motor series...

for my -6 motor for the 450, it drew about 44.16 amps ... from that point on, I deduced that a 55A esc would be more accomodating just to cover any deffeciency.... (but I could only get the 70A locally)

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I'm useing a Jazz 55 ESC with no problems what does the motor max current have to do with it. If you never load the motor to 70 A you will noty have an issue!!

Scorpion motor:

Max Continuous Current ............................... 70 Amps
Max Continuous Power .............................. 1470 Watts


Since he was not using a stock motor for the stock esc... he may have missed the max continuos power and current of the scorpion motor which is way much more than what the Align motor provides and what the align esc can support.
