My Posts This: Topic  Forum		just ordered the pulley for a 12s setup in my Phazor 600.I happen to have a century 650a 565 kv motor laying around and it is good to 12s.so today i ordered a 23tooth primary pulley and a spare motor mount for it. Hopefully by wensday I'll have it in the air on the 12s setup.
I've always wondered if it's possible to have to much power

I'm very curious to see myself.so far the most voltage I've run is 8s,I've been told by some experts that the higher the voltage the higher the effecency and therfore the more net hp and longer run times.and even though the wattage is the same the felt hp is much improved.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		first flight on the 12s phazor.batteries at 110 ferenheight esc ambient and motor 95 degrees performance good,but you can definatly feel the extra weight.you can tell this thing has insane power but the extra weight is sucking it up and there isn't enough blade to make up for it.all in all the performance is slightly better then the 1907 on 8s.i think the 2500's batteries with a neu 1910 1.5y motor would be the ticket. it would put it back to 7.5 pound with more power.the neu's perform better then this century motor.for an example the 650 century motor needs 10s to perform the same as the 1907 on 8s plus the 650 weighs 4 oz more.so my thinking is that the 1910 (witch is a step up from the 1907) in the1.5y with lighter batteries would be totally awesome.i think the 2500's would handle the draw especialy with being 14oz lighter.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		only had time for 1 flight in between raindrops tonight .i will try the 620's toworrow.I think i need to order a set of widechord 620's for it.I have a set of gohbee 600's on order and they have a chord of 55mm verses what i'm running is 50mm. mavirick g5 pro's have even a wider chord of 58mm,i should order aset of those on 620 and try them.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		2 more flights tonight on the 12s Phazor.Everything working good.seama more powerfull tonight after campareing it back to back with my other eletrics.5 minutes first flight put back 2150 on 3200 batts second flights 5.5 min still chargeing but the batterymeter on the balancers showed to still be within the 80% mark.Can't run 620 blades with 105 tailblades so i dialed in more pitch.It can pull more pitch then the 105 tail blades can hold.and the rocket launches are insane if i had to guess atleast a hundred feet a second.Good thing i have the aluminum headI have a 90 tailbelt coming for it to go with the longer boom and 710 blades i allready have for it.Nver ran 700 blades before what is the rtecommended headspeed on 700's?I'm geussing 1800 to 2000.

I am running the "stock" 8S setup.
With the 620 blades it autos almost like a 90.
Yet still has an amazing amount of pop and quickness.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Jeff. got your pm and you have a good point with the 710's on a 50 head.I will take it very easy at first.
I have a set of widechord 620's coming also and with the longer boom and some more pitch that might be a good combo. I think i will try that first.the long boom should give the tail alot more holding power to pull more pitch.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I converted my e620 raptor to a e710 a while back. I was afraid to run the 710's with the smallish 6mm feathering shaft since I had bent it before on a soft landing from a botched forced auto with 620's. I added a 90 sized head on mine from a Century Predator Gasser. It is made for a 13 1/2 lbs bird and run on mine which just crosses over into the 10th pound.

The 90 size electrics are cool although you pay with shorter run times. I'm right under 10 mins on 1900 rpm and just FFF.

We're thinking of putting 90 grips and feather spindle in a 50 headblock.

but for now i'm going to try some wide chord 620's with the longer boom and i have a new powersystem that i'm going to try that will take 13 oz off the heli.but it's still 12s.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		If you can loose 13 oz on a 7 to 8 lbs heli that's impressive to say the least!

I ran the RT's on my e620, they were the 610 and I believe they were 59mm (?) wide, they rocked. That is why I went to 710 RotorTechs although they "feel" different. I think my heli would really come alive with 12s lipo's but I'm way to cheap to fly 600 bux worth of batteries. I still haven't gotten crashing out of my system yet.

Can't wait to hear more.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I'm currently useing 2 6s 3200 flightpower packs witch cost me $380.00 and i get 5 to 5.5 minutes run time doing agrresive aerobatics and fast fast forward flight.they weigh 36 oz.

I just ordered 2 6s 2500 flight power packs at a cost of $320. for the pair, they weigh 28 oz and i should still get 4.5 minutes flight time.

the 3200 packs barely get warm so i think the 2500's should be suffeciant for amp draw.

And by going to a neu motor i will get a lot more power and loose 2 oz. and with the 2500 packs i will be able to run the polycarb canopy witch takes off 3 oz.

and combined with some 610 widechords it should really rock.

with the batteries up in the canopy like i run them, i have as to yet damage a battery in a crash.

so as you can see 12s is'nt as exspensive as everybody thinks it is.unless you're looking for long run times.

But most people i think that whant 12s are looking for power not run time. I could be wrong though.
