Do you have some flying to do? From what I have read, you need to. Dont worry about the rest of us, think of your own skills and better them. Dont worry about my flying skills. Back to the good old "Ignore".

Understood?

Make it a great day,

RIPMAX HERE'S YOUR CHANCE

I see you have 90 equipment maybe you be willing to swap out your mechanics into a BAT 90?
I will supply you the kit for build & test using your equipment. . Your 90 equipment already broken in so you just need to build & set-up the machine. Good experience pilot needs after 2-3 tanks for machine parts mating then it will ready too fly hard 3D.

WOULD UOI LIKE TO Show us what you got!

Everyone,

Once I talk to Irwin, about where he would like the video posted, (I would rather put it at the quick site, as I cant stand to do anything for anyone on this forum, know what I mean...) Then it will be available to view.

Then why do you insist on commenting in a forum where you have nothing to offer, or are you just tired of your Blade CP? If you don't like the heli.....that's fine. Move along

Wow... I havn't been around for a while and I seem to have missed the show.

I have resumed the build, and worked on it for the last two nights. I have a list of the remaining parts/hardware needed for the build, and will put in an order with QWW this week.

As soon as I get some new pictures taken and uploaded, I will post them.

...and there is nothing wrong with the older PRO head design.. I have it set up with the dampening quite hard! It holds 4 O-rings. We'll see how it feels in flight compared to the head on my Quick 60 which only has 2 hard O-rings in it...

Glad you've had time to get back on the build. I always thought that the pro heads on the 30's were a little soft. The "pro" heads that QWW had on their helis when I was up with them in Maryland had been shimmed to be just as solid as my sport head. The advantage of the pro head is that you don't have the blades pulling against each other which I've read that and each has the ability to work without the pulling force from the other blade. I really don't know with my ability if I could tell where it made a difference. I do know that the QWW gas heli that I flew in Maryland had the pro head and it felt just as rigid in flight as my sport head.

I think I have located a main shaft that will be long enough to work with the older pro head...

Still have a few more screws and washers to order.. And I need to find a left hand header for the tuned pipe. Anyone got a left hand header that will fit an OS 61???

The final mock up is almost done though. As soon as I see that the mechanics are all in order and everything rotates smoothly, I will pull it apart and start adding the servos and Lock Tite.

It's been a LONG time since I have been on here or out flying. My business has been very busy all of the sudden. I am charging the batteries on my R/C equiptment to get a few minutes hovering in before my motor rust.

The Bat 70 build is still on track, and I'm still sitting on several gallons of nitro since I havn't flown in about 4 months.

I keep getting PM's from QuickWorldwide about the ammount of time it is taking to get this heli in the air... I admit that I have not had ANY time to work on helis in the last few months, but every time I have need a part for the Bat, I get sent the wrong thing or another defective part... so shipping parts back and forth is killing time also. ...but QWW always gets it right in the end and ships the parts out really fast.

Irwin and staff have been very helpful in the conversion though...remember, this Bat is being built as a conversion from a ND90!

ShuttlePilot was kind enough to send me the PROPER length main shaft to use with the older "pro" head.

JuanRodriguez was kind enough to send me a header to cut up and modify for use on the Bat...

Much thanks to both of you!

All I need to get ordered is a battery pack and some servos for the CCPM. Anybody have some suggestions for good servos? I normally run futaba 9252's on the swash... I'm also considering some Hitec HS-5645MG servos.

I've been running Bluebird 825MG's on the cyclics of my Bat gasser. They seem to hold center a little better than the 9252's, have a little more torgue and man they are fast. I would say 9252's are just fine though.

Also..... We all get busy sometimes and I think we all would like to have more time with our helis, but making a living and keeping up the family has to come first if you want to have more in your future than just helis!!

Keep up the good work. We know that you will put something up as soon as you can.

Took the leap and went flybarless!

I just converted my BAT 50 to flybarless and it rocks like no other heli I have ever flown! Youtube video to follow.

How did this build ever turn out? It looked like it was going pretty well. I was looking forward to seeing how the finished product came out and how it flew.
