Hi Guys,
I finally decided to make the step from 35mhz to 2,4Ghz on all of my helis.

I have instaled the 14channel module to my AVRO and wanted to check if it is posible to put the antenas the way I did. becuase in the manual it says that they need to be 90 degrees to each other.

Maybe you guys can post some pictures as well of you receiver installation.

I have had my antennas like that for a while, and it worked perfect. Then I tried it one day on my Trex 600, doing it the way the manual says and putting them at 90 degrees to each other and far apart and just a range check proved the difference I could go twice as far in range check mode that I could before I changed them..

So I think you would be fine they way you have them, but if you like me and worry about somehow your heli floating away in the smallest of chances lol, just try and find a way to put them 90.

You can also use small fuel tubing to angle them if that helps.

I to am considering going over to the 10C,using the 6014rx's

which TX do you use on 2.4 ?

And did you have to re programme all your settings into the TX ?

( not sure if you had FF9 before)

Hi Matt,

I use a 12FG with my 6014rx's

How do you mean re-programme, if it is a new radio i would have thought you would have to reprogamme the settings. I dont think futaba has the ability to copy Models from the FF9 to the new 10C.

The 12FG is deffently a really nice radio though i like it, and its worth the money imo

Hi Matt, I think what you are asking if you need to reprogram the channels on the rx?

I have noticed that the channels on the FASST 14chan where completely different to the futaba 14chan 3G (35mhz) module.

The settings you dont need to change if you use same Tx but if you change to other tx you need to introduce the settings there again.

Please make some close up pictures... If I am right I have seen on the vibe 50 of your friend that he used the shrimp tube and then a silicone tube right?

Is it only necesary to have the ends of the antennas free?

What i meant by re programming was, if like me you had all your models on a FF9 Super, could to export them to a campac and then copy them into your new TX, or would you have to re programme all your settings manually into your new TX..

From you comments it looks like the models would have to be done manually.

Sorry Dave,

I am hoping to receive my new ATG V3 today, so ill fit that tonight then get all the electronics installed ASAP.

Also the ends of the Antennas can be in a small piece of fuel tubing or plastic so it is not necessary to have the ends free.

What i have done is used a tiny bit of expanding sleeve just to protect the antenna from a cable tie. Then i have fixed them in 2 separate positions with some fuel tubing to stabilise the antenna.

Ill try and get the electronics installed ASAP lol, just need to stop adding new toys to it
