Are there any scale bodys for voyager available, if so where might I purchase one.
also are parts still available for these helis, I just finished building one that was given to me in exchange for a few planks that my dad used to fly before he passed away just a few weeks ago.
thanx.

Chris,

I know there was three JR Scale Bodies for the Voyager E available as of last year. I have included a url to the JR Propo page for the Voyager E that shows these three models.

http://www.jrpropo.co.jp/helidivisi...0701/heli03.pdf

I thought Modelflght there in Australia carried them but no evidence on their website if they still do.

Model Helicopters Ltd in the UK is still showing them on their website.

http://www.modelhelicopters.co.uk/a...g/Scale_Jr.html

I'm sure there are others that still carry them but I'm not sure if JR is still producing them.

I bought all my fuselages from Japan during visits.

A Scorpion fuselage. Not my favorite though.

Here's a Bell 230.

Neither required major modification to to the VoyagerE mechanics. Strangely, most people think there is a TRex inside of these.

Hey Hoagie1,

Nice 230 there! I've got 2 of the Astar AS350's but they are not yet built. Do you have any others or other pics?

I like that 230.
Thank you for those links.\
I was just wondering do you know if I could run a 4s 3700 pack through the 40 amp speedy thats on my voyager.
I use these on my hdx 500, and the 3s on the voyager almost as big as a 6s 5000, i dont know what it is but im just chargeing it as a 3000 for now, if I could use 4s it would make the voyager much lighter and ive got the packs.

Im not sure about if this heli would be good for scale anymore, im thinking about the way the lipo pack hangs underneath the undercarriage, also ive managed to eliminate alot of the tail shaking i was haveing by cutting down some tail brace struts of one of my 50 helis and putting them on the voyagerm but its still not completele smooth, and for a scale I think you realy dont want to see any shakeing in the tail. since I last posted im finding the heli to fly quite nicely, very easy to fly just have to be careful not to get to low to the ground as it dont pullup that hard like most helis do.
I think with micro servos and a different lighter lipo pack I would be more happy.
Im interested to know what is the smallest 3s pack you could run and still get at least 4 minutes at least time in the air, it just seems obvious to me that the pack is way to heavy for the heli, unfortunately I cant use any of my 4s packs because its only a jazz 40-6, if I could use say a 3s 2500, then it would be woth while buying some smaller servos and a 2000-2500 lipo, this way when I crash my voyager I could just grab a cheap 450 size and throw in all the same gear(trex or minititan). here in Aus it just takes to long to get hold of JR parts so if it crashes I cant be bothered waiting 3 months for a new spindle, thats how long it took to get a new tail pitch slider, the part cost slightly more than a good cup of coffee but took 3 months to finnally get here!
Thats why I would never buy a JR as good as they are, I dont think you can get parts on the web can you they only use authorised dealers, and here in my city theres only 1.

JR parts

I hear you about parts for JR/Kyosho/Hirobo in Australia, but never have an issue through Ishii Mokei in Japan. Have to set up an account, but not bad pricing because few middle men, and Yen is down against Aus$ at the moment. Had an account there for about 4 years now.

You can also use RC champ. Oedering is more simple than with ishii mokei. Everything by e-mail. Works fine for JR parts. Everything in stock usually.

Thank you for the details Spitfire1

I don't think that scale kits for VE will work with super VE

Cyberheli is another great webshop for Jr parts and like said Rotodingo, RC Champ is the best for stocks, prices and fast sending

ive got one of the old ve`s. its got the lipo strapped underneath the landing gear, god knows how you would go if you had a few packs..
I just want throw this out there incase anyones tried it, I get a bit of tail wag up and down and it just occured to me that the ve`s got that rear adjustable verticle fin near the tail rotor (never seen this on any other heli ive had. Im thinking of takeing the thing of and seeing how it runs, im thinking rotor wash, wind..e.t.c over the fin, anyone tried takeing it off and had better results.
I have to say I was just flying this heli outside and started divebombing from height to see what kind of speed i could get.
all that weight in such a small heli, my god Its got some speed, I sped past myself at about head height at the bottom of the dive and it made my hair stand on edge, amazing really considering how little power it has on climbout but its very fast downhill!

((I would have though scale would be ok on the super ve as the lipo pack sits up front like most other helis, and i would hope the sve`s a bit more solid as far as its head setup,(no shakes)

GGRRRRRR
Dont even get me started with kyosho, I was stupid enough to buy a second one(caliber 30), when there actually flying I think there the best performing 30 class heli ever made, its just a shame there hardly ever flying. My one flew like a dream out of the box for the first few weeks, I gave up with it after about a year or so of trying to get it to fly properly, if you read the forums apparently its just normal for the blades to start makeing a loud woofing noise at about 1500 rpm, I just couldent fly with a heli like that, my first one spat out a blade mid flight and exploded like a bomb.
But as I said when it was going it was sort of inbetween a 30 and a 50, it was very responsive.

Spitfire1,

I bought the upgrade head for super VE3S and mounted on the VE with Ecureuil scale kit. All is perfect, it flies very well, not a 3D but a good scale fly

For tail rotor, I kept the VE tail because it's lighter than the ve 4S tail rotor and works perfectly with the k&s tail pitch slider.

Please, open a new topic, these one is for the JR Voyager E scale kit

thanks a lot

Sorry, I dident think it worth starting a whole new topic just to ask if anyone knows what the smallest size 3s pack would keep a voyager up for 4 minutes, trying to see if you could get away with useing 450 size packs thats all.
I think im going to look into the price of the upgrade head, because if i could make this heli just a bit smoother its the perfect heli for a scale project.
