This is only IF you are having a problem with the barrel wearing funny or the main needle is leaking around the O-ring. You will have to send the motor back to the Dist for that country not sure when they will become available I would check with the local dist for more details

all the motors are good it was a change made on the fly, so i think if you buy a motor now its all ready been updated. the service pack is for the first wave of motor way back in Jan of this year

The XFC it gets nuts but I love it sorry we didn’t get a chance to meet I will be at ircha this year track me down. There is no mailing list if you are having a problem with the TT 53 you can send it in att to Rocky at www.acehobby.com they will look the motor over and fix what needs to fixed and or updated. I know Rocky will be stepping out to a FF this week but Gabe is there and can help out too. No word yet on the 106 last I heard they where fine tuning a muffler for the motor.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		FYi: until we can receive service packs, a push/pull dual linkage setup on the carb helps the situation. The problem is accentuated with a single linkage because it pushes the barrel down and pulls the barrel up. With dual linkages the barrel can be virtually suspended. However you do need to fine tune one of the two linkages to find the sweet spot where it binds less. This method is holding me over for the most part.

I would recommend a dual linkage from the very start of this engine to slow down the wearing problem.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I have a January purchased Redline which has the severe wear on the throttle barrel, to the point that no amount of de-burring will cure the problem - only a new barrel & screw or complete carb (which would be preferable) will cure the problem.

My Redline has been in pieces for about a month now, with my old Hyper back in my heli.

I cannot get parts for the engine in the UK, and the UK distributor doesn't currently want to know as "they have never heard of this problem before".

I personally feel really pissed at the whole saga, as I understand that my personal help in identifying the problem was really appreciated by the Thunder Tiger Corporation in Taiwan - so much so that they can't even send me a $20 carb to get my Redline back in the air.

I know you are frustrated but maybe you could substitute a guide pin from another carb and file the transistion area smooth in the slot then slightly remove the high spot after the worn area.(widen the slot as needed) You may even find a longer slightly thicker pin or press a metal sleeve over the pin while widening the slot. I know the distributer should cover you but if his hands are tied for parts supply this may be a temporary solution. If you were in my area I'd carry a temporary repair for you. From your pictures it looks like the wear is on the end that the spring would push the barrel against the pin. If you want to send the carb assembly to me at Canada I will fix it for you.

Thank you very much for such a nice offer and post. The problem I have is that I have been asked not to say too much about the problem, and at the moment I have stuck to that but I'm getting increasing frustrated that why should I keep my mouth shut about the problem, when TT won't even help me out and get my Redline going again.
