"Even if it does eventually come out people will be so over the wait that they'll largelyLike they did that one heli that people swore they would not buy because they were tired of waiting?
I don't know were you have been but one thing these guys like even more than power is NEW. Im willing to bet cash money that even if don't we see it on the shelf for 5 more years (hypothetically)you wont be able to get your hands on it for months because they are flying out as soon as they come in.

AgreeI have to agree with 50feet...and most likely, by the time it does finally come out, my YS91SR will be worn out and will "conveniently" need replacing.
Well I tend to agree.. however the Novarossi's are out now and making HUGE power and are not exactly flying off the shelves.
now if it were a OS or YS I could see that. but being that its a TT and people seem to have such a stigma over anything but OS/YS I dont see that happening.
I love my Tt53 and would love a 106.. they need to hurry up..

Unless the carb is very different from the one used in Redline 53
Why? IT's been as good, if not better than any OS one I've had over the years. Mine has been great.. Easy to tune, Throttles perfectly from zero to hero.. I like it..
Thunder Tiger and Ace Hobby's Big Lie!OK, It seems like Billieboob wants to play! This reminds me of the Guns and Roses song called Civl War. "He wants it so he gets it."
I got my Redline 53 back from warranty repair on Monday. The repair slip said they replaced the piston, ring and sleeve. No mention of anything being done to the carb which was the reason for it being returned. However, it is not the same carb I sent to them. It is a used carb.
I installed the "repaired" engine back in my SDX on Thursday and took it to the field today to check it out. The engine/carb failed again after 4 flights as the video shows (just got it broken in on the first 3 flights and did some easy 3D on the forth).
So, for all my aggrevation with this POS engine, Billeboob calls me a troll. Well, the video doesn't lie, but the reps apparently do!
BTW, I'm using 30% nitro fuel with 22% oil just in case anyone wants to blame it on the fuel.
Reps Lie????? Thats funny. I have never lied about any product I have used weather it be a TT product or not. I dont know the blame on the carbs but I my self and my 4 buddies I fly with that fly TT53 engines have not had a carb barrel lock up or have had any issues with the 53 except for tuning. This problem has been solved by adding the thinner of the 2 shims in the shim kit. I do need to say that using locktite and a snug fit is all I do to attached the carb. If (I said if not saying any does or does not) you crank it down like a crank shaft nut it will warp the aluminum barrel housing and cause it to bind. from thesounds of the squeek in the video it sound like there is zero oil making it to your carb barrel mine does not and has never made such a sound. Just speaking my point not pointing fingers or trying to get anyone to get flared up at me about this. Jason Harmon

Me and a mate had a Redline 53 with MK2 carbs. He had a version 1 and I had a version 2. Yes there are two versions of the mark 2 carbs.
Both the carbs stick. He managed to exchange his for a Novarossi as his was brand new. Mine is 2 months old so I am having to go through the motions of it being sent back to the the distributer. If they send it back and its sticks I will fight to get a credit note as the engine is not fit for purpose.
The carbs stick when hot but are ok when cold. It is very frustrating as the engine runs very well apart from this issue.
Dino, is Thunder Tiger doing something about this? Here in the UK there are alot of Redlines up for sell and people cannot sell them. Thunder Tiger are going to lose alot of sales and get a bad reputation it they do not resolve this issue. They have tried and failed thus far with the new carbs. How difficult is it to make a carb which does not stick?
