Forgot to post this last week. I did in fact test the Mini-Flash LED controller with both the Spektrum AR7000 and AR9000 receivers... all worked fine (i.e. power & servo control/zones).

Thanks Tom, I must just be doing something wrong. Can't get either to work

Hi Tom, It's been long time....
Let me jump in this conversation....

I finally finished my lighting system in my Bell 222, retracts and the aerosound module for the turbine sound.

Will post a vid later on.
However I can not turn the light on or off using only the mini-flash controller, and using a switch on the TX. I assume it does work like this, but like mylle said, it doesn't for me neither.

I have not tried to use the mini switch I purchased from you as I didn't want to start soldering connectors again, so I only tried directly with the channel I have the mini-flash on, but couldn't do it.
I am also using the AR7000 receiver 2.4.

Just wanted to mention this, although I really don't care, since I don't mind the lights on as soon as power is on.

As I said, I will post some video later, it turned out really nice, you'll appreciate your product more and more I think Tom.

Mario.

OMG! That is incredibly cool!!!!!

I was watching the video and I was thinking that maybe something was wrong with the sound because I could not hear anything. Just as I was adjusting the volume on my speakers it starts up. I had a huge smile on my face That is awesome!

When, what, where did you get the sound? How does it work etc? Cant wait to see a video of it flying with the sound. So cool!

Glad you liked it. I wasn't sure how it was going to work out. Imagine it's not even at full volume.

It's a module with a 4" speaker and amplifier from Aerosound rc

http://www.aerosoundrc.com/

You buy the sound you want and that's it. It works with your throttle channel. You just setup low, starting and full positions and that's it.

It is powered by a 3 cell lipo or you can choose the right amplifier for your own battery.

I cut a hole in the bottom back of the fuse just behind the mechanics, put a grill over it and glued the speaker there. Just enough space to fit. I should take some pictures of it later.

Anyway, as soon as I manage to have a flight and a good video of it I will post it.

Mario,
That is awesome! I'm considering getting the Aerosound for my new electrified 88" Japanese A6M5 "Zero" I'm working on. I saw one of these on a P-51 Mustang last year at a fesival... Awesome!

Re: the Spektrum issue... I want to get to the bottom of it. Could you email me your data file for the program you are downloading to the Mini-Flash? It should be in your C:/program files/miniflash directory (or something like that...). I know I have a Mini-Flash working on my friend's Spektrum-controlled Trex 400 (channel 7 using switch on his Futaba 9C converted to Spektrum 2.4Ghz). Another thing to try is this... instead of plugging the Mini-Flash into the Receiver, plug in a spare servo just to be sure it operates with your Tx switch (servo should go from one extreme to another, adjustable with endpoints normally set to 100-120%). Once you have this working plug in the Mini-Flash. In the Mini-Flash software, the channel you want to control (via Tx switch) should have it's "Servo Control" set to either "*---" or "---*", so it only turns on in one position or the other. Reversing the servo channel would have the same effect.

Please let me know how you make out... And again...NICE JOB on that heli! Can't wait to see an in-flight vid!

Tom

This a small vid in flight that you can get a taste of the sound module.
I am planning to raising the volume a bit as it's not even at it's max.

Forgive the awkward lift off as I need to get used to reaching the gear switch . It's on the same side as my throttle and it threw me off a bit.

A better video will be taken on the weekend where I will try to get the lights better. This one was just for a few minutes to check if it flies with no problems.

Elgreco,
That looks and SOUNDS great!!!!!

I still cannot believe the sound. I think it is plenty loud.

As for your flying, looked great. If it were me, I would have probably wrapped it around one of those light poles

Great Job!

hi Elgreco

Only the jet helicopter is seen.
Very great.

Isn't there internal detailed image?

My Airwolf also flew.
Being possible to do here is a favor of MINI-FLASH.

Did you guys check out sin heli's blog? He does amazing work with his fuselage.

Not only he put rivets on his fuselage, he documented exactly where and how many he put on!

Excellent job Sin Heli!
