Hey was wondering how tight everyone is running their belts? There's nothing in the manual.

Just make sure there is not too much backlash. Just a tad tight but not too tight.Head should rotate around with no drag. When pushing your finger through the right side empty servo hole, it should move about 2-3 mm.. Not much more..

1) some run it very loose till it rub againts each other and you can see the black powder coming off. They hae all the reason why they want it to be loose. Well, to me thats too loose and bealt wear out!!

2) I run my just follow Align. Use a screw drive the push (lightly) the belt againt each outher (close to belt pulley to boom), make sure it will move close to half the distance.

I just got done taking her out for the first time. I actually used the old way people set it with the raptor50's. Loosen up the two bolts that retain the boom. Hold the boom and hang the heli nose down, tighten one of the bolts. It worked good, I think I'll try loosening it a little but this gives me a good place to start with that I can duplicate. I found that with setting it that way using a allen wrench I could push on the belt 1/2" behind the pulleys, and with moderate pressure could almost get it to touch the other side. I wasn't in an area that I could auto (rocky brush area) but did a few "baby" autos and it seemed to float the same or better then my trex did so I think it will auto pretty good. Sure is a nice heli! Please everyone keep comming with how tight your belt is!
