Eolo "Plus"

Folks;

I searched for something different, but found this great threat. I also do have an Eolo, however heavily modified for a scale project (CH-149). I started of with the head modification and as the scratch build fuselage was finished...it did not come off ground. So two initiatives where started...Eolo Plus (completed) and a rigorous weight reduction program of the CH-149 (ongoing).

Eolo Plus
> Multi Blade head
> Align 600XL motor
> Align 85A ESC
> new gearing
> new bearings

CH-149
> scratch build balsa wood fuselage
> heavy !!!

Enjoy the pictures.

Cheers - Surri

Here's one in the USA.

Used to fly it on 3S-5000 Tanic. Now fly it on 3S-2200 Air Thunder. Very smooth sport flying heli.

I just got my old Eolo back in the air and it flies great. The gears are a bit noisy and look to be getting worn out. Where is the best place to purchase spare parts?

I never unsubscribed from this forum even though I sold my Eolo a couple years ago. For some reason I remain fond of the Eolo. I hit the link to the retailer that buzzsaw listed and saw the aluminum frame and felt a little sick to my stomach. I hated that frame! So expensive and so easy to bend. If they had only designed a more conventional frame! And priced the parts more reasonably.

yes, that aluminium frame come as standard on the M8 and Li versions of the Eolo
true the one that comes stock on the Pro version is not strong and will most likely bend in case of a c
nevertheless, i find it a very very nice machine to fly

I dont think I will ever sell my Eolo. I dont fly it much since I got my Protos, but I still have a soft spot in my heart for it.
