Yes, many times more than you'd think. The two together is very risky but can work. I won't promote the combination in most cases.

My Mom didn't know how cool parrots were until I started to visit with my birds in tow. At the time she still had some dogs from the last litter of 15 years previous. Was waiting for the last one to pass on before even considering a bird. Dog went, bird arrived and that was 5 1/2 years ago. Well, it's time to let someone else run with this thread. Good luck.
