I love dobermans. Great dogs. I have had three and all were obedient trained to hand signals from a distance. They are intelligent, faithful, and love kids if brought up around them.
Thanks for the great pictures. That is one great looking dog.
EDIT: All of mine would sit on the couch like yours sitting on the toilet. Someone told me that is a trait of dobys to sit that way around people.

I have read that in books also. People crack up when they see him do that. If I kneel down to pet him he will back up and sit on my knee like that....its pretty funny.

They are so easy to train it makes it fun to work with them. I need to make a new video of his new stuff.

Heres my cat Binks. She was a stray that always hung around my apartment and kind of adopted me. I was never a cat person, but there something about this one. Ive had her for about a year now.

Ha, Our doberman does the same thing. The one dangerous thing about him is he sometimes bucks his head like a horse. Its caused some bloddy noses before.

Well my cat definitely isn't considered "hot", but he is definitely strong. On Friday he was feeling brave and would climb across the window sill from our front door to our balcony on our third story apartment. As you can guess, he didn't make it one time.

My wife found him meowing in the bushes below and his face was all bloody and had blood coming out of his mouth. She took him to the vet and after giving him some pain meds and stuff they found out he broke the upper pallet of his mouth. That was his only issues though! This is going to sound crazy, but we've spent a lot of money so far to keep him happy. He isn't able to eat so the vet has placed a feeding tube through the side of his neck. My wife is going to take him to a specialty vet today to see how much the surgery is going to cost to repair his broken upper pallet.

It's insane the feelings you get from a pet that has been in the family for a long time. It's like a child. Luckily we are financially able to help him out and hopefully he has a full recovery.

Here are some pictures from his three story fall.

Yeah, I know how that goes. My Big ole Chocolate Lab has been really sick with a systemic bacterial infection (got it from eating baby rats). We're going on the 3rd week of vet visits, hospital stays, hand feeding and lots of antibiotics and outlays of cash but I don't care. Our dogs are our children. We're finally seeing improvment and I've got a little Rat Zapper suprise for my rodent friends.

Same as it ever was

It's breakin' my heart all over again to hear about your little guy's tumble.

In the late '70's I was living in Hollywood, Ca in a 4th-story apt. Our 4-mo-old cat was chasing a fly across the kitchen table next to the window, and jumped against the screen, knocking it loose. He fell 4 stories onto a paved walkway. He only broke a leg, but while getting fixed up at the vet he apparently caught feline leukemia, and died a month later in our apt.

I hope your little guy pulls through okay. Good onya for taking care of him.

Well my wife found out some good news yesterday, he's not going to need surgery for his upper pallet. The doc said it should heal fine and he's a strong cat. Our only worry now is his body was rejecting his feeding tube so he has a minor infection, but my wife took him home last night and he's taking his meds like a good cat.

I am still amazed how he has walked away from this.

Sorry to hear about your cat, but that was amazing that he fell that far and only broke his leg.
