Thanks for the info Paul! I appreciate it! Also, could you do me a favor? Could you measure the size of the latch and the opening it goes in? Many Thanks!

FB

I meant to do that!

Hi Paul,

She's moving on and looking good. Where did you get the rear cargo door hinges from, they are very scale?

Thanks
Darren

Really good to see Paul,

It must take days to just do one bit, what preparation needs to be done on the surface before painting,

Is it just a case of removing the shiny surface ? like i am doing on the Hotcat ?

Shame it is was windy today!!

hi matt

yes like we spoke about get the shine of the gel coat make sure you then clean all the dust from the sanding of, you can get a anti static cloth from halfords to wipe over to get the dust ect of,then give it at least 3-4 coats of etch primer, when dry i leave it over night to make sure use 800 grit wet and dry to flat the primer get it nice and smooth ready for the top coat of paint.
It does take ages in sanding priming ect but the amount of work you put in will be worth it when you get the final paint color on

Hi Paul,

It's really coming on now. We are still trying to get paint on my EC for Bicester, but it is tight. WE had a brief hop last weekend and have a tail issue to sort. It should go off for paint by the end of this month.
They really will look good together!
So what paint scheme are you going to do?

Regards
Darren

hi hawk

i used plastic card to make the base and the adapters was from some old cine scale parts i had left i then used silicon rubber to make the mold and then resin to make the part

hi darren
hope you sort the tail out ok im sure it will be fine as you are using the cin scale fenestron and this is the best part for the turbine model mattjen had a problem with his tail but as far as i know peter who had it from him got it working great.
im doing mine in the metropolitain police scheme as far as i know they are the only police force in the country who use a ec145,
im sure once iv got that far we can meet at one of the events and sure they will look real good together

regards
paul
