Nice work My Man.

I have a bit of trivia for you. Your scopes are commonly known as NACA scopes

NACA stand for....

hi matt

i have to say i am disapointed with vario fus as we spoke about the right side windows are lower down id say by a good 3-4mm you cant see it by eye but i found out when i messured one side of the fus to the other to get the side grill vents in the same position, also the the front of the heli does not look like a ec145 but as im going to have a big radome on the front it wont notice so much, it just dont have that nice curved front a ec145 or 135 has, also the cowelings took a lot of sanding to get them to even look like they fit properly they was wrong shpe to fit to start with, i dont know if iv just got a dud fus or they are all like it i wished id got the baumann fus not that i know if it would have been any better for the price of it you would have thought they would be a much better product,as for the 50 degree gearbox instalation well thats another story

yeah indeed, although this wind is good for Auto practice,

Shame about the fuse when considering the money one spends on these machines, but like anyhting until a good competitor comes out with the same wide range as vario have, vario still have the market cornered, i am not impressed with their mechanics or head, very out dated.. but they do their job just...

But looking at some of th galleries the EC145 look a nice fuse once done, i look forward to flying with you once i have masterd my 1/4 scale jetranger, we will be the only 2 scalers in the club, where as all the others are stick basher wanna b's

Keep up adding the photos to the thread, maybe put them in your gallery..

Maybe see you over the weekend

hi guys

been doing the sliding door system,i was going to do a full scale system but after looking into the amount of work needed and the fact im not puting into any scale comps decided to go with the baumann sliding door set, even this needed a lot of cutting into the fus and filling.
also the vario window frames are to thick so i sanded them back a few mill to make it look more scale

Paul,

Great looking heli. I do like that door system. I/My friend are doing an EC135 and we are going to go for the full scale door system, currently we are scratching our heads on just quite where to start
Pics of my build are in my gallery if they are of interest. Hopefully, by the time you have completed yours we will meet at a vario fly-in or similar

Paul, a couple of questions. In the pics in your 1st post, the brass louvres, did you make those? Also, the latches, where did you get those? They look awesome!

FB

I meant to do that!
