all the pros must be missing out not flying esky

I think you must have missed the point of this thread, maybe it would help if you go back and read it again.

yes let's stick to subject...i agree

i realize u are into nitro but the subject right now is to help a beginner like me.....that's what this subject is about so i'll post this comment again and like invrtd1 one said let's stick to the original topic.....

here's was my last question.....This is important to me for i just purchased this ESmart 600 yesterday for $112 with no motor but i did add motor and got it for $216....but my main concern now is the electronics so here is my previous comment and hopefully someone who has good experience can respond..

---------------------------------
ok i trying to get my electronics but im confused....should i get an Align Bec 6A or will a Align 3A be fine....
i purchased a JRG500t Gyro with the 800t Servo so my Gyro problem is solved i hope...please let me know if that was a good choice...

Also i'm taking the 75 A, esc from my Jr Voyager so will that work?

Also You had mention that i can use a 5s 3700mAh or 6s 3700...Are u sure this battery will work....or should i really go for the 6s 4200mAh ( this is what Heli direct recommended)...if you are sure that the 3700mAh works then i will start looking for 2 of them so i can have an extra,,,,,but i need to be sure for that is a big investment...the 6s 4200mAh Helidirect has them for $169.00 each....so i really need your advice on my battery situation..

i already have the radio so that's solved...so it's just the above i want to make sure of, so please respond if u can......Also i'm looking for a 6s E-Station Bc6 i believe it is Charger...Does anyone know where i can get a used one?

Looks like all you really need to get are servos and batts and charger. If you put up a post in the wanted section for a charger, I'm sure something will pop up, same goes for the batts. Those are two things you really don't want to skimp on, get good batts, none of this off brand stuff(they won't perform well or last long) and a good charger is how you protect the investment you make in good batts.

Esky...

Audio...I am local to you..I'll come down there to your flying field and I'll show you first hand how well that esky flies

then I'll pull out one of my vbar logos and show you how well the esky flies in comparison ....

Like I have said on NUMEROUS occasions..this is a cheap machine that performs EVERY bit as well as the more expensive machines...I would bet any amount of money that my ESKY would perform just as well if not better than any SWIFT out there also...after all ...many of the parts on this thing are in fact taken from the century hawk and swift...the head design is exactly the same as the "metal" hawk head...we are talking about a "cheap" practice 3d machine here...if you want TOP NOTCH quality then get something else...I wouldn't call a Century Swift a top notch heli either for that matter

I think the problem we are having here is the closed mindedness of some people here...people here like to talk all this smack about shi* they don't know...how can you comment on a heli that you have never seen of flown? ..all that aside..

RHAMPTON....I am using the 3A bec and it has performed flawlessly for me after over 100 flights..

As for servos...get a set of the DS821's and you'llbe happy..

as for batteries I would recommend the flightpower 5s 3700mah evo 20's or 25c's...that's what I use and I get blistering performance

as for a gyro...I am using a 500t and 8700g on mine and it's been working great..

The 75A Align ESC is also what I use...works great as well..

As for a charger...I'd recommend a nice hyperion charger...I have a couple and they are AWESOME working chargers...

good luck and feel free to PM me if you need any help

Anthony

im not gettn the esmart now...changed my mind..cancelled the order

Sorry guys for all my confusion...i'm am so confused...i think i need so serious advice for i am a confused Heli beginner...
ok here's the deal,,,My goal for the past 3 months is to get the largest Heli i can get for a reasonable price...under $800...i already have gyro and tail servo, TX and RX and esc so i'm looking for a Large Heli with 3 servos, motor, Bec with battery and main battery....

so i had the Hurricane 550 and sold it...then i got the Jr. Voyager E...it's an ok Heli...Now i want to move to the big boys...Raptor 50 or trex 600 electric.....Those Helis have a nice Full body thick look...
all these 600 size helis i see on the web..Swift 16, esmart 600, logo, and others,,i noticed they just dont have that full thick look as a trex 600 or a raptor 50, 60 especially 90....wow that's my dream to have a Raptor 90SE....OMG..
ok let me calm down...ha ha..

anyways,,i cancelled my order on the esmart because the photos i saw on the web just didnt appeal to me anymore.....maybe i'm dillusion...if someone can send me a photo of the 2 next to each other maybe i'll re-order cause the guys at Heli-direct is holding my order for 2 weeks just in case i change my mind,,,but the heli just looked similar to my Hurricane 550..it's not that large to me..they told me it was a 30 size Heli...the trex 600 and the raptor are 50 size heli's and that's why i cancelled my order...i want a 50, or 60 or oven a 90 size heli....im currently on ebay now trying to find a trex 600 with servos, motor, esc, bec and i can supply the rest......please keeep your eyes open if you see a good deal......I want a Trex600 looking Heli that sits tall and Huge lookin...I'm sorry i'm into big hobbies..People like to see big things in the sky..so if anyyyy one can convince me wrong then i will go ahead and re-order it...i never seen a Esmart 600 but i have seen Raptor 50's, Trex 600's, Raptor 90's and i love the way they look...Is there anyway i can convert a Esmart 600 to a 90 size looking Heli?

Esky---VS.. Trex 600

There is a bit of a size gap that seperates the "meaty" trex 600 as you put it and the Esky Esmart...

Here's my opinion....

I have owned several trex 600's and they do look a bit larger in the air...but with size comes weight and with weight comes perfomance degradation....a lighter heli is a better heli in most cases...

So the pros of a trex 600 over the esky esmart? Heavier, look bigger, maybe a bit more stable in the wind due to weight?

Cons...they require 300$ 6s 5000mah battery packs that only last 5 minutes, they require a heavier esc setup(stock 75A esc burns up quite frequently), performance is less than impressive, and parts are a bit more expensive to replace than the esky.

if you want a "Bigger" looking esky then get the longer boom to run 600's...the 75a ESC and stock motor will be sufficient. Also...you can make the heli look bigger by adding BEEFY landing gear like the Quick UK flourescent sets they sell for 18$ ...and get a larger 50 sized canopy mounted on theheli...look at my night heli setup pics...that's a 50 sized canopy(Roxxter)..you could easily fit a larger trex or raptor canopy in this machine as well...

If you are not into performance and don't mind spending the extra money on beefy servos, esc, and bigger packs then I'd say the larger trex 600e is a good choice...but if you are looking for a good running, cheap to fix and fly, with insane power performance on a cheap 5s or 6s 3700mah pack then get the esky esmart..

I own plenty of machines including a couple of 90 sizers and to be honest with you...I see no advantages of the larger machines ...but that's just my opinion...

what really seperates a 30 from a 50 and a 50 from a 90...in most cases it's just a longer boom and longer blades...and bigger power setups of course...but overall there is not that huge of a difference in actual size of the heli..

Here's a couple of pics of the esky next to a couple of larger machines...as you'll see there really isn't all that much size difference between them..

UHHHHH........

well......I have 14 I think?

maybe 13...not sure?

I tend to buy and sell them quite regularly...get bored quick...

I can tell you I have a "core" 6 or 7 that I will NEVER sell though...those are my vbar machines and some of my elites....like the Roxxter 55's, the 3dmpe and the E-Stratus and the logo 600 3d vbars..

One of these days I'll take the time to get a "Family Photo"

I have 4 vbar machines right now those are my favorites....

Hey Jag, quite the collection. So, is the Roxxter really the best? Looks to be the "dogs dangles" in my humble opinion. Of course the Joker is right there too.

Rhampton, gongrats on the NEW Esmart! I think you gonna like it!
