Blade 3d has been posting for some time now and no flight report. Surely he is not the only one on this forum that has attempted to build and fly one of these machines.

I'm sure that I am missing something, but I haven't seen anything from someone who has started a motor and lifted off. It also seems like most of the posts for the Shark are from people who have some stake in selling it. There is definately something appealing about this unique design, but without a dose of reality the folks at TZ are not going to get very far.

Here's what you've been waiting for, hopefully....
I started the assembly of my shark50 on a Friday morning at about 10am. I had the helicopter completely assembled and electronics installed and ready to setup by about 7 pm.
Saturday morning, I started the electronics setup.
I programmed the radio, the gyro, and the governor, and by 3 pm was ready to fly.
Mind you, all of this was done at the Huntsville funfly, with just my field tools, and with all new gear. So, I was a bit nervous.

The heli fired up and flew its first flight running sloppy rich and looking good!
There were no shakes, vibes, or problems whatsoever.
The heli flew smooth, responsive, and easy. IT JUST FELT GOOD.
I flew 3 additional flights, but did not put enough fuel through a brand new motor to lean it out and fly it hard.

As soon as I got back from Huntsville, I developed an acute appendicitis and had to go into surgery.
BUT, in the last week of recovery, I have build a second unit AND converted one to flybarless!!! Needless to say, I will have much to report back as soon as I get more flight time.

There was not a single person at Huntsville who could find a truly negative issue with the heli.

The AUW fueled and ready to fly was 8lbs 15 oz. Heavy, but considering I am using 8717's, an 8900g, Scott gray reactor x, a heavy fast hitec throttle servo (can't remember model), AND a Kong Power 2200 mah 25C 2S pack, it could not get ANY heavier.
The second build will be substantially lighter.

Hi Guys

Just thought i would mention that i won a TZ Shark at the 3d masters this year looks like a quality kit mostly cnc i was tempted to build the model but i would not probally fly it as i have 18 models and this would probally just sit in the shed.
So i'll watch this thread with interest to see some flying shots and see how the shark progresses befor i decide to build or sell the kit.
