i have been using white lithium grease to lube my servo gears for about 4 years. no trouble.

On servo gears there should be no issues. However greasing exposed plastic gears with any type of grease is not good practice. It only serves to attract and hold dirt and dust and ultimately it will wear your gears faster than with no lube. Most plastic gears do not require lubrication to run free, just a proper mesh setting.

Will lithium grease harm plastic gears?
NO ..... but I still use Tri Flow Heavy Grease on servo gears when i replace a set

I will put a negative here. My experience has been that lithium grease tends to harden some plastics over time (becoming brittle over the years). I would suggest using a grease that specifically says, "Safe for use on plastics". Tri Flow is okay, LaBelle 106 with teflon is okay, When I am wanting to be really safe, I use silicon grease meant for diving equipment. Ken
