Just took delivery of a brand new TT53 redline. Only problem is that it doesn't fit the standard Raptor 50 engine mount. Does anyone know if there is a replacement engine mount that is made to fit the TT53 ?

You must not have the right mount. Mine bolted right up to the mount in my titan. Is yours an orignal 50??

did you use the washer between the fan and front bearing?? if you did, take it out.

The mount is fine, fits like a glove.

BUT..

If you have fat muffler, for eg MP5, the muffler will be pressed against the screw for the tail stabilizer rod. The reason is the exhaust port for redline is not protruding as much as OS or TT pro. All I did was file away the spacer on the frame to create the clearance..

btw, my heli is Titan

Gent's,

The engine mount is for the stock Rapor 50 V2, not the Titan. The mount has the original aliminium metal colour. Will the Titan mount fit int the V2 without any adjustments?

I have't been able to check if the washer is to be used or not since I can't test mount it in the heli... I suspect it won't be needed as you
say badroptor.

Any help appreciated.

Way back a long, long time ago in a place far, far away, some TT50 were made with non standard mounting holes. To fix this problem mounts were adjusted for a short span of time to this dimension.Once the engine mounting lug holes were returned to standard dimensions all was well in the land of oil and methanol engine mounts.

If you have an OS or YS 50 previously mounted to your engine mount it is good to go. Present and common Raptor 50 TT engine mounts fit the Redline 53 engine. This includes Titan 50 mounts.

Mine bolted right up, perfect. I used the washer though. I never had any clutch problems at all. Beautiful little engine. I'm very impressed with it, and am really enjoying it.

A new engine mount has been ordered which should take care of the problem.

wiz310: Is your Raptor a V2 or a Titan? I wonder if the Titan works without the washer, while V2 needs it?

I went through the same issue last year when I bought a used TT-50H. It did not fit my silver/aluminum colored mounts. found out that the original TT-50H's were 1mm narrower than the OS-50SXH.

The correct engine mount for the original TT-50H has a green tint to it. It has a different part number = PV0107TT

and here is the "normal" mount that comes with the 50 V2 AND Titan

so if the TT-53 has the same mounting dimensions as the OS-50 then the silver engine mount (PV0107) is the right one. If someone want to send me a redline for testing I'll post the definitive results
