After trying to read the pitch on my flybarless TREX I came up with the ultimate solution. No more eye straining to line up an old pitch gauge with the flybar and trying to read the printed gauge. Just turn it on, set the bottom on the boom and zero it, stick it on the blades and read the pitch. It is a Wixey digital angle gauge used to setup table saws mounted on a hacked up robart pitch gauge frame.

Cool. I just ordered one. I have the robart pitch guage. So all you do is put the gauge on the blades, level it, and then read pitch?

I've wanted to try one for a long time now, but it was the flybarless conversion that forced me to try it. No flybar to line the gauge up with anymore....see the problem?

How do you know "zero" is truly zero though...?

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

That is why you zero it on the boom. The boom should always be zero degrees.
