My 3S SVE crashed yesterday, and I'm trying to find out
the causes for the crash.

The crash occurred after a couple of minutes after take-
off. I did some figure 8's and then went on to flip it,
first down and then up. In the middle of this up-flip,
while the heli just went inverted, it stopped responding
to my stick inputs, and started to spin CCW inverted.
It rotated several times, toward the end of which the
main rotors started wobbling. I was trying to put it
back to its upright position during those few seconds
but in vain. As the wobble grew larger, I decided it was
time to hit throttle and I did.

Lucklily, the damage was not so severe. Only the busted
mains and slightly bent feathering shaft and fly-bar.

I use the stock motor and ESC, with 3 JR ( badget )digital
servos for cyclic Futaba 401 with S9254 for the rudder.
TX is Futaba 9CH and RX is PCM1024 7CH ( forgot the model
name ). The battery is TP Extreme 3300. My ID1 pitch
range: +/- 11 degrees and 100 - 90 -80 - 90 -100 throttle.

What I don't understand is what possiblly caused this
and I'd appreciate any input/insight to the possible
causes.

Hi AKIRA,

Not sure what caused your CRASH, but I would guess something disconnected or came loose during flight..Like I said this is just a guess to give you a good answer I would have had to be there...Any way if you do a trouble shoot on your helicopter sometimes you can find a bad part that just doesn't look like part of the crash....Hope I could help some I know it's not much...Talk care..

I'm looking every possible moving parts and so far haven't
found anything loose or disconnected. The only thing I've
noticed is that one of the capaciters attached to the ESC
has a slight dent at the top ( probably due to the previous
crash ). Do you imagine that there's any possiblity that
this is the culprit?

Another suspect in my mind is the receiver. Actually I have
had an experience of another loss of control a while back
prior to the last crash, and something might not be right
with the receiver and its wiring. I'm going to test fly it
tomorrow with a replacement receiver and see what will
happen.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		a freind I know simply put some v paddles on his mini titan which caused it to cork screw whilst mid flip, it was wild to see, put the cheap stock one back on and 3d`s perfectly. just a thought if you might have put on new paddles or whatever, ive just purchased a 500 sized electric sonix, been flying 50 nitros for 5 years, but i think I like this electric thing, just walk out with my heli and my tx and go flying, how easy is that. I was just scanning the 500 size forums to see what the deal is, i am suprized these voyagers are only running 3s, im 4s and really I would have thought 5s would be more suitable, I found aileron tic tocs on the 4s to be a bit too much flips were cool, but 3s just seem way to smell for 425 blades. I know the new trex 500 is running 6s but i dont see the logic, if you go 6s you might as well buy a 600 class electric.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		ok, thats good to here, I just finished building my voyager, it was a gift, 4 flights so far, seems like a nice relaxing little heli (at least that is on my hugely overweight 3s pack and full size servos, I think I can see it as a scale project, something to calm down my nerves after wringing the neck out of my hdx 500.
Still early days with the voyager but it seems to be be a bit like I remember 30 size helis to be, I generaly fly 50s now days but my hdx 500 running on 4s 3700 seems to be just as powerful and its such a nice feeling to be able to just walk out with my tx and heli and fly as a post to humping all the fuel and starting equipment around, yup I think its e for me, dont think I could ever not have at least one 50 nitro though, there is something about the way they fly that is different to electric, I think maybe its the intimidation factor of em.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I just realised that this topic and your heli is the super voyager, not the old one like I have, they should of called it a vibe 500 or something, I be willing to bet they would get more attention from the market if this were the case, maybe even sylphide 500.
