My Posts This: Topic Forum | My photos of the dremelled fuselage show the initial attemp. After fitting the mechs, I had to dremel a bit more.
The photos do not show it, but I attached foam (pick and pluck stuff) in between the rear cockpit bulkhead and forward fuselage bulkhead. This tightened up the cockpit to the frame.
I gooped the windscreen in place, as well as the antenna, and the top two rearmost antennas. I also ended up gooping the forward bulkhead into the fuselage. This is removeable if I ever have to take it down, yet prevents vibration and is more secure.
After about 3/4 gallon, I have verified that the stock gear are plenty strong. No need for supports. Just dont be "plunking her down". This is scale flying afterall...touchdown like you would in the real thing.
I had to add 1.5 oz in the nose to balance mine. One very nice thing about this airframe is you can break it down and extract the mechs without disassembling any mechs. You RC mfgs ought to learn from this. |
