| What is the deal with the Hyper hub? What's wrong with the stock one?
| You can get the stock hub to work, it just takes a lot of time to dial indicate it with colletts. Also the stock hubs seem to be poorly made. You have to be somewhat scientific about dialing a stock hub. You have to mark the colletts and hub and "clock" them to get the run out less than .001".
With the Hyper hub you save a ton of time when dial indicating the hub. It doesn't use a collett system and is much more precisely made IMO. I have installed the Hyper hub on several machines, mine and others that I've built. Every time I've installed it and tightened it down and with out even trying I can get the run out less than .002". Then it just takes a little tweaking to get it less than .001".
If the only thing you replace on a stock Synergy make it the hub. They also now have the Hyper hub extreme, even better. It takes even less time to dial it.
BTW, if you don't take the time to dial the crank shaft, hub and then the clutch shaft you are asking for trouble. The vibrations it will create without doing this will eat your electronics alive. Not to mention the rest of the machine.
The machine rocks, by far the best flying heli I've flown.
