Very high price indeed. And very suprising. No reason for such a high price. The SVE4S is a lot cheaper and the 2 helis are extremely close.

Well, i keep flying with my Vibe 500E i.e. SVE + Vibe canopy while you are still waiting to be released in the USA. Why are you waiting, that's the question... You see, here in france most of us never buy something locally. Far too expensive. So we are used to order overseas and japan or somewhere else makes no difference.

Yes, the head is exactly the same. It's almost the same machine. The vibe is using some carbon only to please the US customer...

You can see a new video of it here, with the Vibe canopy on:
http://rotodingo.over-blog.net/article-23043662.html

Not a very beautyful one because of strong wind, bad light and a not very young batt inside. About power performance with a good batt, please see this one:

Saw the heli up close at IRCHA and saw it fly. Looks like a winner. Price is steep though.

Did you see the super inflated list price of $1,299.
$699 is pretty darn steep concidering all the competitors prices. Lets hope this doesnt bring the prices up of all the others.

The Japanese version is below 600$ with JR/Hacker Motor and ESC.

It's a far better option to buy it in japan. If you really want the vibe canopy style, buy the optional FRP canopy. Cheap too.

I compared the voyagerE to the vibe 500e on the horizon website, they added extra frame stiffners,a support bracket around the motor, break away tabs for canopy mounts, battery tray sits lower to the main frame and a different main gear hub.

You also have all metal frame spacers instead of plastic. Main mast bearings are in metal holders instead of plastic. With a bit of luke it's the same as the K&S option i.e. with a thrust bearing inside.

But you have to accept that a same japanese product will always be cheaper in japan than in the US. That's the law...
if you want it cheap, buy the SVE and the 2 VIBE specific parts that are really needed to use 6S: Main gear and the batt plate. Up to 5S the SVE is perfect. And powerfull enough...

Glad I found this thread. Kindda makes me want to go back to my original thoughts of a T-Rex 600 ESP. Quality may not be as good but I'm looking for "bang-for-my-buck".

Packs will be cheaper for the Vibe 500E. Compare apples to apples and compare to the Trex 500 or Logo 500 or Quick of Japan EP8/EP9.

I forgot about those expensive packs. I guess I'd better do a lot more research on the different 500's available.

No, that means that haven't gotten them yet.

RH lists new items, but as Out of Stock since they don't have any. Out of Stock does NOT mean that they had them, but are out, just that they are out.
