I wrote horizon hobbys a little while back about it and they told me it would be out in late January. I wish there was more info on it. I got to see it at the ihobby expo in chicago. Looks nice.

By looking at the magazine about the hobby show, it looks the same as Super Voyager E. Maybe just the different name used in Japan and United States.

JR has left us in the dark on this one. They are not responding to inquiries and have not updated their release date of January 2008. Unofficially, the hold back is due to JR's evaluation of the 500 motor class heli market in the United States and their market potential verses the current players in this class.

Honestly, I would not be surprised if we never see an authorized US model here.

They are availalbe down here in Australia now.
First came the SV3 which is the new frame old head and now the SV4 is here. Its a very nice looking machine and goes together as one would expect from JR.

we can never have too many, can we ?

Hey Ozace,

That is great to hear. I wish someone at Horizon Hobby (US Distributor of JR Heli) or JR would respond with a release date here in the US. I do hope they bring it to the US but I'm not holding my breath. Are you still posting at Yahoo groups?

No to the Y groups.
It is a shame JR cant get organized in the US. The SV4 is a wonderful build and it is a pleasure to work an a quality machine for once in the small E market.

Ozace,

Y! Groups is quiet these days. Not much to talk about with the old Voyager E. My personal opinion on why the Vibe 500 is not here yet has to do with the fact that Align's US distributor is also the same one that JR utilizes. Throw in the fact that Horizon has stopped carrying the Voyager E kit and many retailers here in the US have stopped carrying Voyager E parts. Just my opinion though.

It is a shame about JR. There are a whole generation of flyers out there whom consider A***n kits as quality. JR are now in a position to enlighten them if they choose.

Don't wait anymore. The Vibre 500E is nothing more than the Super Voyager E 4S with the optional FRP canopy JR released a few weeks ago. I just received this canopy. It looks exactly like a Vibe 50 canopy. Just beeing smaller.

Yep, have had for quite a while now, it is a very nice machine. Quality is streets ahead of anything else in class BUT as you know i cant fly hard enough to tell if it will cope with flyers like you

I was talking to a guy who attended IRCHA and he said that it is very likely that the vibe 500 will never be released in the US for many reasons. A major one being that kits are way to pricey ($750)
