I'm putting this one not only to let others know how my scale build is going but to also invite other HBK pilots to share their scale builds as well. To start things off I am waiting for the Airwolf fuse to be back in stock. My plans on the scale add ons include adding the rest of the front glass that isn't there, full rivets, moving the exhaust exits down to where they are on a 222, more realistic exhaust, retracts(I hate fixed landing gears when they are meant to retract), nav lights, pitot and refuelling tubes on nose, and most importantly scale guns and rocket pod. Oh and I will be changing the rotation of the main blades and flipping the tail rotor over to the correct side also. As soon as I get the fuse I will put up some pics and will try to keep my end updated as much as I can. Feel free to jump in with your own builds too You can never have enough scale birds on a thread.

I'm guessing you haven't managed to convince the wife that it's a good idea yet? Hopefully she will change her mind and sneak one under the tree. I ordered the rest of the stuff I needed including the HBK itsself last night so I guess I'm a HBK owner now, almost So now I'm just waiting for the "out of stock" thing to disappear and I'll get this thing started.

LOL, that's what this hobby is all about:celebrating our fellow pilots success and feeling the pain of the losses also. Not many other hobbies can make a boast like that

I still have a 100" sailplane sitting on my workbench half built. I'll get around to finishing it sometime I did an Airwolf build a year ago. For a first attempt to do a scale build I didn't think it ended up that bad(considering it was foam). It was a fuse intended to an Ikarus piccolo that I stuffed my BCPP into. It was destroyed by a TX failure. I learned my lesson: don't use crappy electronics on something you spend 2 months to build. Here is a few pics of it.

Yeah crashing a scale fuse is a heart breaker. Good call on working on the skills first. But if it helps, I can't loop or roll. But I can fly rotor side up all day long.

Being good at nose in comes in handy when you don't expect it and has saved my butt a few times. Also when you do get a fuse on there it looks soooooo cool flying it towards you from time to time instead of always looking at the rear or the sides.
