My Posts This: Topic Forum | I agree with not shutting the field down for sponsored pilot demos. Not everyone cares anymore (especially when you can see the same guys fly the same stuff via videos on the internet over and over again...not like ten years ago, when you had to actually go to a fun fly to see really good pilots fly).
If you have a good PA system, then having the sponsored guys able to make announcements about their flights and equipment flying at a certain station seems like a good idea.
Or, possibly reserve a central flight station, say from 1130-0100 each day (shorter or longer as necessary), and have the sponsored guys line-up and fly one after another as they so desire. That way the field stays open, but the sponsored guys trying to push their products at least get a little "center stage" action.
My son and I are planning on attending...and hopefully flying a demo or two for Team Mikado USA. It will be our first year at this event, and it sounds like a good one.
