It's a heli event only bud. A plane wouldn't work out over there.

You can't hardly see the main site from the back of the AMA site where IRCHA is staged. I wasn't going to fly on the IRCHA flightline. I have only flown helis at IRCHA once back in '03. I've got nothing to show anyone there! I made it down to the Huntsville, Birmingham and Chattanooga flyins this spring. I flew half a dozen flights on my Fury and Raptor at Huntsville. Didn't fly at either Birmingham or Chatty.

Planes?

Ok, you are now making yourself clearer. You can probably fly at the main site since it is a pretty good distance from the heli site as long as you are flying spectrum, but you might want to check with the AMA officials because sometimes there might be activity at that sight too. Why don't just call them, the number can be find in the Model Aviation magazine or 1 800 I FLY AMA.

At any rate no waiting, it is time IRCHA is here now, and 36 more days it's the Southern Rotary Classic

I called last week a couple times but no one could give me an answer for sure. Everyone that would know was out on the field with the Nats.

Did anyone see the small starter that some of the pilots were using? They had a couple of 2s lipos strapped to it and it started a 91 like nothing I have ever seen. I asked one guy and he thought he got it from HeliDirect but I looked at there web site but didn't see it. It's not a geared one and it's black and short, was told they cost in the neighborhood of $25.00.
