I'm in! Ron and crew had my business. The day he closed I had a (bad) crash and had to place an order with HP. I bet lots of folks did and that the Heliproz orders probably increased in a big way. The order arrived today. I'm happy with the Heliproz service and of course their web site. But Ron always had ALL of the stuff I needed.

Congrats to Ron and Chris. This should be great for both of you, and for the hobby.

Add Classified Feedback		Congrats Ron on the new merger. Even thou I live in New Zealand I have brought a few things from you and the process has been painless and easy. The service was outstanding and I know you will keep that up no matter where you are.

Really think about you are going to name the new company. I personally wouldnt call it Heliproz South as the name Heliproz already has a strong name in the market and what you what to do is make coming to your store something a little different. Thats why people come to you now. The pages of compliments and support here on RR prove that!!

Internet marketing plays such a massive part in business's these day things like website and business names can make or break a company no matter how good the staff are. What you offer over heliproz is special and it should remain that way. Even if you are legally the same company as HProz, a different name can allow people that haven't a good experience with HProz to shop elsewhere and feel as if its a different company. It also makes them feel as if there is competition between the two big players in the market and they will continue to shop and support the both of you. Thats why a lot of huge companies own and promote different stores. People think they are all different so they compare stock and prices between them but at the end of the day they are all under one umbrella.

Please don't think I am putting Heliproz down as the are also a great company that I dealt with in the past. I just dont use them a huge amount as UPS shipping to New Zealand is a killer.

Thats just my 2 cents worth.
Good luck and rest assured that you will still be supported from over here in New Zealand no matter where you are.

So, welcome back, congrats, & the best of luck!

Agree with the 3 or 4 posts regarding the business name; "Ron Lund" has incredible marketability, and that shouldn't so easily be given away. Heliproz is a good company, but in adopting Heliproz South you've lost the "Ron factor", and watered down the Heliproz impact.

Double loss, IMHO.

Heliproz has been my go to shop since I got into this hobby and really like there service. The responce from rons very loyal customers really made me feel like I should be doing business with Ron and crew too. So this turn of events looks real good from here.
About the name. I totally agree with the idea of "Rons" or more to the point, not HeliProz south. There are few choices out there to start with. People really like choice. Both companies have earned customer loyalty and are known as amoung the best in the business. Im not sure directly, by name, branding both stores works in your (joint business) best intrest. Work your advantages through the cost side of things and mutual support to build sales in both locations. I really like the idea of choice, even if I know whats behind door number two.

we had to ask around to find a local group of guys heli guys that walked us thru everything....

apparently Ron and Nathan trained these guys! They fly really well and know alot about set ups!

The deal is done. The papers were signed just before noon today. Now we are waiting on the phone system and setting up our credit card accounts so we can open the store as soon as possible. I would say the biggest holdup is the phone system, which shouldn't take too long. There are a million things to do, so I am going to get busy. I'm really hoping that we can be open for business on Monday, the 12th.



Awesome!!!! I can hardly wait to crash again!!!!!! Way to go Ron!!!!!

We will reopen as soon as we can answer a phone and process a credit card. Both of those are in the works and out of my hands. We want things to run smoothly when we re-open. I think the biggest change, other than the name, will be the new phones. The only way you'll get an answering machine is when all of the lines are busy or the phone rings 9 times. There will be 4 people with cordless phones and when you place an order, they will pick your parts as you speak. If you want to speak to one person in particular, you can be transferred. If that person is already on a line, you'll go to their voicemail. I really like this new system and I think you will too.


Can't wait!!!
