Align is really going to have to step it up to be ble and compete with the others in its class like the Logo 500 and hurrican 500

Smaller rotor disk, so 2100ish Mah packs will work better than on the logo and Gaui.

Sounds pretty stepped up to me.

Guys, you have to understand if this runs 425mm blades this is not going to be in the same size or class as the Logo 500, rather the same class as the Hirobo Lepton.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

the flying weight will be about 1800-1950g ... posted from Align forum.

compare it to Lepton or 3DX 500, Align 500 is a way too heavy.

Looks real nice. I know it's a prototype, but I see things that remind me of the Lepton and the Caliber frames. (Totally not a call-out... There are just similarities.) I wish they'd stick that tail servo in the frames, too.

What size battery is that?? A lot of people are hoping to use 2 of their 450 size packs.

I was wondering about the battery too. Looks longer than Evo25 4s 3700 (common on the Lepton), but could just be the photo.

I have a Lepton and am now starting to run it on 5s to make it fly better. It flies nice in 4s but 5s is much better for 3d. I suspect that the Align 500 will fly much more aggressively. The Lepton is great in FF but 3d it's pretty tame, even with lots of cyclic.

BUT, the 500 size is very nice and people will be very happy with this size. I'll be on the list to get this one. Considering Align's recent track record, this heli will fly very well and the parts will be much cheaper than the Lepton.

I wonder what size pinion they used with this setup? I'm guessing it'd have to be a big one (definitely bigger than 16-17T) considering it's a 2kV motor.
