My Posts This: Topic Forum | Don't the main bearings experience a fair amount of thrust while pulling the heli up and down, and supporting the weight of the machine in flight? By the looks of the angle on the gear set, I don't think the thrust load would cause an undue amount of stress on the bearings.
If you were to use this gear set, and use the stock tail pulley, you'd get a few more RPMs out of the tail, as well as the mains (maintaining the 4.8 to 1 rather than the revised 4.5).
I'd try a set if I knew where to get them. The 3D is already so smooth, it would be interesting to see how much more could be achieved.
