Well here I go $$$$.
Last month I purchased a mico 2ch Helicopter and after the first flite I was hooked!
This past Sunday I purchased a HBK2 RTF from my best friends son who had it for 2 weeks and crached it twice but from only about 2 feet of the ground (hovering). After the second crash he broke a main rotor blade and decided it was not for him.
Anyway, the HBK2 has only had 5 battery charges run through it and the stock brushed motor is done. The brushes are almost completly worn out. I do have a 3100 brushless, SC and pinion gear on order but it is backordered with no eta. Is there any way to replace just the brushes until I get the brushless motor?
I have logged in many hours on FSM so I am iching to get this bird in the air!!

You could just order a new Brushed Mtr.

Helidirect has parts.

Don't waste your money on the brushed motor, get a brushless combo and be done with. less money in the long run, more power, last's 10 times longer, learn from our mistakes.

My friends son, that I got the HBK2 from only had it 2 days before the motor went out. So he called the ebay seller he got it from and they agreed to send him a brushless 3100, sc and pinion gear for $10. That was 2 weeks ago and it is still on back order acording to the sales person.

Well, you can either wait and save a couple of bucks and wait or spend a little a fly in a couple of days.

whatever gets you in the air. good luck and remember this hobby is pretty hard but very rewarding you'll find the 2ch is a kids toy compared to the HBK2 its just the nature of a real cp heli stick with it go slow and have fun.

theres one small problem with radds school of flight. Its impossible to follow you'll be doing 2 or 3 steps at a time patience is definitely a virtue with it. I used the bounce method not preferred but you'll find that hovering a heli is like balancing a ball on your nose. you have to be ready for it before it drifts one way or another. I learned on a bcpp a HBK2 almost hovers itself like a coaxial if setup well enough. Don't be scared to crash if your not crashin your not flyin.

Rebember, all the helis, at least the ones i've tried, tend to move to the left while spoolling up, lear to compensate this is natural, but nobody told me before i crashed n' crashed n'crashed, jejeje

I used to have a CPP, now i have a Honey "blade" King 2 and a Raptor 50

thats where reading radds school of flight comes in handy learning heli faults and characteristics Whether you do it or not. a rotating wing what moron come up with that idea. I mean come on who has patience to spool up and shut down for 10 packs. Slow and steady wins the race but why in Nascar is everyone more interested in the crashes? But do take your time it will eventually just come to you.
