Another thing, the Heli Controls gyro/gov unit can send the same 760us pulse to the throttle servo as it does to the TR. would you gain anything with another bls251 on the throttle other than more nice matching gold anodizing

I take it you bought Jason's Caliber?

Getting ready to put the tail rotor servo on and was wondering why the difference in horn length between JR and Futaba servos? Am using the BLS251 that jason shipped with it, what horn length did you choose?

I'm not sure why there's a difference; maybe based on different dimension wheels available between brands? You know as much as I do on that one

I used the big four-point arm on my BLS251s, trimmed off the two unused arms flush.

Also, do you have a close up pic you could send me of your rotorhead at what would be the stock setup?

The washout arms will not be level at 0° pitch. If they were adjusted to do so, the ends would contact the upper swashplate during high collective/cyclic inputs. They should be close to level, however, near hover pitch. Remember that this model is mostly based on a 1/2 stick hover, not 3/4 stick as in a typical 3D model.

I doubt it. That would just be an expensive throttle servo. I use "sport" class digital servos on my throttles, such as DS811 or FUT3010 without issues.

The tail belt tension is accomplished up front, so it will depend on some variables as to where the tube falls in the holder. But yes, it's close to flush.

Yes I did and what a nice job he did on the wiring. I am going to have to buy another one so I can build the whole thing myself (guess I could completely take this one apart)

Does the BLS251 of yours buzz constantly, even without the pull rods connected?

I can't say that my 251 buzzes, no..but it's also got a lot of time on it. Yours might be a little stiff yet, so the motor is just running more trying to find perfect position. If it's not getting hot and screaming at you it is probably fine.

in this picture you have added an additional standoff on the rear of the canopy with what looks like fuel tubing on the end. Is this something you found necessary or just a precaution?

Are the 2 small holes to be able to adjust the needle valves?

Yeah, the canopy stabilizer posts are a trick I carried over from my Freya. The keep the canopy "horns" from resonating.

Yes, the two holes are for needle valve adjustment. The larger hole near the bottom edge is for my glo-plug lighter.
