Yip up to no 19 now

As I am moving abroad next year I will be selling my two superb JR airskipper 90's (fully f3000 fused) as they where purely purchased to compete with this season.
I honesty have a soft spot for these helis as they have served me very well in their very short flying time they have had. (6 months)

Now that the Nat's are over the next comp is going to be F3C and as I certainly wont be on the podium I might as well try something new. Also means I can have some fun this winter with a machine that I don't believe will require 100% of my time.

No DTI'ing, already saves me a evening.

See these at 3DM!

Just checked site and 'AVRO KIT £765.11' that's a heck of a lot of model for the price... i was expecting more like £965.00! Some real nice engineering in this model, including a very well thought out damped gyro platform!

Best of luck Avro !!!!

Yep gotta hand it to em... on time is an achievment in itself!

Much like many others probably did... I dismissed the idea of a brit model before I even saw it... but changed my mind as soon as I saw it... they have done a great job with this one!

Hi,

yes, an Electric version has been "thought about" and i'll know more in the coming weeks.
The webstore is now opened (i checked 10 times a day since the 28th ) and regarding the prices of spare parts, the "fuse" parts are realy at a very good quality / price ratio !

Neal Scanlan is a Gentleman and i had the luck to talk with him over the phone since a few weeks, no doubt this Avro will be a winner !!!

As said on another thread, the kits and parts were ready and Blitz was just waiting to get the manuals printed out, simply ))

I can't wait for mine (i'll grab it in UK directly ) i'm pretty sure there will be a LOT of build logs here on RR hehehe ...

Best regards,

Fabien

I bought this heli without even seeing the part prices.

http://www.blitz-helicopters.com/st...dex.php?cPath=3

Fantastic!:

Edit... Just noticed the carbon frames are half the price of a Vibe's(Not that the vibes ever really break but....) They must have burgled airbus!

Getting better by the second.

l just can`t believe that price. When l saw it up close at the masters l thought fantastic heli but how many will want to spend over a grand. At that price they must be selling at a loss to get a few out there. l`d get in quick if you want one for that money.

Flybars. Who needs `em.

Hi,

Neal Scanlan at Blitz Helicopters explained that regarding the quantities requested, he tried to lower the price a bit ( the more bearings, screws and little stuff you buy when you produce, the cheaper you get them), in order to make the helicopter stay affordable for foreing countries.
Well i guess he reached the goal
Who starts a build log now ? ))

BEst regards,
Fabien

Just checked the parts prices and it seems reasonable enough as these parts are produced in the UK.

let me first say that i'm friends with the guys at Blitz and seen the various stages of development over the past years but lastnight was the first time i got to see a kit - and it certainly doesn't disappoint.

The parts are all in perfectly labeled bags - some numbered relevant to the section in the manual and some labelled with what they are for 'Aileron bellcrank', 'Ailerson pushrod' etc. e.g. The servo mounting bag is about 4 inches wide by about 1 foot long and broken into heat sealed section with the bits for each subsection of the build - not a single bag for the entire section. Many of the more tricky parts come preassembled, the auto unit, the tail output shaft, part of the belt drive assembly....putting parts together like the main drive gear with the autohub oozed quality - trust me, i can't write how nice stuff 'felt' once you'd assembled it...and i've built a lot of heli's!

The manual, like the heli is a thing of beauty - consisting of exploded cad drawings and text for that section of the build. The build starts at the engine (if i remember correctly) moves onto the drive and then onto the frames, starting with the left and getting all components onto the frame and completing it with the right. The rest, head, tail have pushrods quoted to the exact lengths....

i tell you, those of you with one of these beasts on order will not be disappointed...enjoy it!
