There have been a couple of posts saying that you have to re-install extra aircraft.

I didn't find this at all. I had installed all the extra aircraft and scenery previously and they were still there after the upgrade to 104g.

I also noticed that it kept my radio setup this time - I didn't have to go through the calibration again.

When the sim runs it says it is 104g so I presume the installation worked correctly.

Cheers,

Nigel

Vibe diggin dirt

Ouch!!!

I put my Vibe in for the first time doing some new tricks. Never used a Sim before. I don't care about the fixed wing capabilities of the sim, just the Heli. I've got a JR9xii (which is the 3808 in the US I think), computer specs are fine with a Pentium 4, 1 Gig Ram and good graphics card.

After skimming through all the posts, it seems the Phoenix is the one to go for.

Is there anything else i need to consider?
Help and thoughts would be much appreciated.

All the best

James

Well done Phoenix RC. Another awesome update to the best RC Heli Sim on the market.

However, I did find that the cyclic response was absolute mush on the 600N 3D and the response was even worse (almost laughable) on the 600N Sport. I ended up increasing the cyclic response to get it more realistic. It almost felt like I was flying a heli set up for the beginner and not 3Der.

Other than this minor gripe, this is the best update so far. I am glad that blade "farts" are back although they do sound a bit weak, but I can live with it.

All we need now is the Aurora to become available for download.

I don't get why people want Helis that aren't even in retail yet in a sim

Nice job Phoenix RC, it is a great simulator. When do you think we can have a JR Vibe 90?

Because in the case of the Aurora... it's probably as close as we'll ever get to owning or flying one!

Anti Aliasing

Anyone get a problem with Anti Aliasing turned on? For me, doing that renders the whole background in black, leaving just the helicopter.

It might just be my card, but I never had it before and I had it on 1.04f and I've still got it on 1.04g.

Working fine for me on Windows XPSP2 and an 8800GTX (on driver 158.22):-

and

Vertical sync is forced off.

EDIT: also works fine on a Dell 9300 Notebook with GeForce 6800Go graphics under Vista, though Vista keeps time-slicing it.

Others have mentioned the same problem though

I retract my statement.

I've just tried one of the aircraft and it gives a code error and then suggests that Phoenix needs to be reinstalled.

Tried another and sure enough, the same thing happened.

Reinstalled the aircraft and they are fine.

So in summary, the previously installed aircraft are there but if you try and use them Phoenix reports an error.

Cheers,

Nigel

I still get the strange picture of the auto 'target' being vertical as opposed to horizontal on the ground. Weird!
