| mysticfogg Heliman | Greetings, I have suggested a "workshop" for newbies to the world of R/C Helicopters to no avail. I have a N.R.2 and N.R. 3D that give me more headache than flight time. Venom IS good with the cust. svc. / support and info./suggestions very detailed but not much good if you are new to R/C and don't know the "lingo". I get more air-time and enjoyment from my coaxials! I see a lot of negative posts as well as word of mouth regarding Venom, here is a chance to over come some of this and MARKET the product. In VT. there are no repair shops, heli. clubs/fun flys. I've seen workshops for R/C cars, how about Helis? I may be having difficulty with my units from Venom but gotta stick with what I got and wish to LEARN.

| mysticfogg Heliman | "Problem-Matic" Venom 3D and N.R.-2 Greetings, thanks for the reply. Seems the N.R.2 was not in "trim" when purchased, never hovered, always went squirrly, never above 2ft. and now I see the front servo is sticking. Its on the shelf! The 3D flew out of box, hovered and manuvered but landing was a bit too harsh for the "rocker-arm", broke the plastic ball, replaced with CNC as well as swashplate. Now as a real "Newbie", I am attempting to get it back into the air again, as mentioned, don't know all lingo and whats what. I do have a few coaxials, fly-n-repair like a pro. But these other units are giving me fits! At this point I'll trade both Venom products for a couple coaxial units, but I got to work with what I got. Blades are getting EXPENSIVE and replacement parts a nesessity, not good for fixed income.~Remember gravity works! Its the law!~ Mysticfogg | ||

| RAK402 Key Veteran | mysticfogg,Is there anyone local who can trim the machines for you. The NRII would be a better trainer. The VNR3D is hotter and more fun to zip around with.If you have a radio issue with the NRII, try contacting Venom support. They have been extremely decent to many of us.Are you using training gear? Are you flying over grass? (your NRII will last a lot longer while learning over grass, than the, usually recommended, hard, smooth surface). | ||
