Nice, are they 2 halves put together? Clear plastic, paint from the inside? Or is it like Align fuse?

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Mine comes in two halves. Also the tailboom is also molded seperately from the main body in the event of a boom strike, you can just replace the tailboom and not the whole body. Can form these in clear PETG plastic and or form Clear windshields and or windows. I perfer to paint a body from the outside, its just so much easier. I painted mine in a couple of hours, thats including masking, and waiting for the paint to dry.

luvmykids2, how does your Trex fly on those noodle floats? I have a lake behind my house, and I am thankfully beyond the frequent crashing stage, but I am really afraid of dumping the bird in the drink

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		You can't even tell they are on there they are so light. I just cut slots and put paint sticks through with some hot glue and then zip tie them to the skids so they can go on and come off in seconds.

As far as dumping in the drink. It happened once near the shore on a quick decent, I grabbed it and shook it off and nothing happened! If I dump it deeper the floats will keep it floating and then I would just have to replace the receiver I think. the servos are normally water proof. It is fun to do though, I have enjoyed it.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I would love to fly over water, I'm just chicken to try it. Time is scarce for me, and if I had a water 'incident' it would take me a long time to rebuild it.

I agree the receiver would probably die. What about the gyro? Battery?

I suppose I would need fishing gear handy so I could cast out and retrieve it if the worst happened

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		looking at the size/specs of the align EC-135 and my EC-135 they are about the same size except mine is about 20mm longer. There should be BooKoo space in them both for the 9650 servo

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I posted this in the scale forum on the same subject: EC-135, For all you guys that ran out and bought the EC-135 for the cool factor. Youre in for a treat when it comes to controling the tail. You will not have much if any tail authority. The shroud and the tailfin blocks most of the clean air needed to control the tail. Ive flown mine on the Corona and it flys excellent but that is bacause the Corona main rotor is very efficient and the tail rotor moves lots of air. Anyway, thought Id let you guys know before you get out there and wonder whats going wrong.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I just ran 2 batteries through mine and I am happy to say that I did not experience any loss of tail control! I admit that I am no 3D pilot but I could spin either way with no problem even at the end of my battery. I did experience a little tail heaviness, but I will adjust the battery forward and I am planning on adding a scale cockpit which will add some weight too.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		SH, i knew yoiu'd get one of these 135's and put on one of your 4-bladedheads; very smart indeed.
how about this then SH, i know you can do it, so here goes. what about a little brushless motor and esc running a small fan on that tail - i'd like someone (pref. SH!!) to do it as i'm pretty keen to know how this set-up is set-up! would the esc be plugged straight into the gyro for example??
oh, and what the access like for changing over the lipos; is it a 10 screw-game and a half or magnets?
