Well I dont know how much below zero you can get, and this batttery was drained to zero more than 10 times and its now on it 173 cycle and still going. You should try doing a little research before making such an unqualified claim ...

Well I have been doing extensive testing on these batteries for 6 months now and have posted my reports right here on RR. All it takes is a little RESEARCH to find it. Im just sick of the "johnny come latleys" that just read a sentence or two and look at a couple pictures and they think they automatically know everything there is to know on the subject...

He was only claiming this for the AirThunder batteries so why would you think he was being arrogant?

You must learn to read the posts before jumping in with both feet.

Hey Air, dont be so arragant...

If anyone is being arrogant, it's you. Air speaks from experience. Where do you get your info to make such bold claims against Air Thunder packs? Btw, you ARE a "johnny come lately" so do some research. The only reason I dont have one of these packs is because they dont make one that fits my IonX or Logo 10 3D

And yes...these are the next greatest thing for lipos. A bit heavy but the trade off is worth it.

All I see in your gallery are a bunch of guys standing around holding/setting up/fondling helis.... where are the pilot? just cuz your name says "Lv2fly" doesn't mean you're an RC heli pilot, nor does it mean that we want to hear anything you have to say...

Hey people,,, outside looking in here on this conversation. This love to fly person only came in a page ago, didn't see him attacking anyone through multiple pages really other than saying " I don't think to zero voltage etc....", then the Air guy says well this is as close to zero etc.... yadda yadda And luv2fly guy says hey think you're being arrogant, which was abit hasty but...... Bottom line here is I can see some mis interpretations happeneing here. Pretty darn hard to tell if someone is being arrogant, snotty, egotistical and all that through typing words on a forum. I am not sticking up for either party honestly just pointing out that I sincerely am not seeing this being a cock fight at all, just misunderstandings of peoples emotions and assumptions. I look forward to hearing more reports on this technology as time goes on, be well fellas.

Lv2fly_James took the time to write about something derogatory and erroneous about something that he knows nothing about and you say that it is just a misunderstanding. There are a lot of people on this site who try to disseminate some truth about the items used in our hobby based on tests and actual experiences and not just type some wrong info based on their own limited abilities like Lv2fly_James did. If there is no rebuttal to erroneous remarks that are posted then the erroneous remark becomes the fact.

him you boys here are nasty

well you guys really know how to be comrades.
all I said was I don't believe a lipo can go to zero.
All air had to do was state to reread his data.
that was that! His calling me johnny come late was just wrong!
that showed me his true arrogance as a comrade!
I've been using lipo for 7+ years. I've never seen a pack go to zero.
times are changing, the goodies are getting better.
I still would like to see it for myself.
but $ is tight.

Air good luck with your packs and your data.
I'm not going to take any more of your time.

I ask the moderator to please clean up this side track postings so that
air's thread may continue with out thos mess in it.

LiFe.

AT packs are 17% heavier then a Lipo, its not known what chemistry they are using, could be related to the LiFe perhaps.

Disclaimer

Please observe the specifications when using our packs. While the idea of torture-test our batteries may sound fun, operating out-of-spec reduces battery life, causes battery failure, and will void the warranty. Feel free to fly until the power is diminishing; there is no need to time your flight with our pack. Never over-discharge on purpose just for the heck of it. Boat and car users please follow the spec closely (cut-off) as their application is different. Thank you.

Do have fun!

ok time for a conspiracy theory

i rekon the at and kp batteries have a hidden capacity

IE a 5000 battery is actually 5500, arrrrrhaaa ears pricking up now yes

this would account for the extra weight
this would account for being able to run them to an alleged zero %

this hidden capacity's only function is anti puff duties and thus doesnt get used by the esc.

there you go i have just solved the riddle for you all

and before anyone calls me a twit
I am a twit

I have just recieved my 6's 5000mah kong power and my 3's x2 2200mah kong power
but have not due to circumstance been able to use them yet
but soon that will change and ill get to use them (Daddy Day Care very busy)

Actually, people have run them down to the point where the heli wont fly any longer. This would not work if the pack was actually 5500 mah. Nice try though!

you see but thats the trick
the extra capacity is not usable by the heli
its rerouted with a complex assortment of wires so that it can only function as anti puffing amps

see i think i may have it
you see the extra 500mah on a 6's may only be 1 or 2's therefore of course a 6's heli wont fly on 2's would it ?

come on man
credit where credits due
ive done it
im calling it

chemistry busted

can anyone cut one open to confirm ?
