Hey Stan thanks for the compliment. I am using Futaba digital 3050 servos on both swash plats. As for the setting they are pretty much stock with just a bit more sensitivity on the ele and rud. Although I did find that I had to reverse the ele and rud from the factory settings as the manual had them backwards. Once I did this the heli went right in to a hover. My headspeed right now is about 1300 for ff. Let me know if you have any more questions or if you want the exact settings. If so I will look them up on the mixer and see what they are.

I did alittle work to the tailgate. I have it to where it opens and closes but I still have to rig up some arms to hold the gate open or closed. And I widened the trailing edge of the aft pilon since the stock fuse had the trailing edge coming to a point. Which is not correct for this model. I widened it with some bondo and sanded it in. I dont have pics up yet of my latest work but I have completed the APU and the aft nav lights.

Thanks Stan, it makes all the work worth it when people approve of your work. It was a bit nerving the first time I went to starting hacking at the back of the fuse but I figured it just had to be done. And I wasn't going to use a servo on the gate at first but later I decided that it would be just wrong not to so it will be getting a servo attached soon.

There You Go!!!!

See, now your just showing off.....
If your blades are balanced properly, you should have no problem... mine hasn't got the slightest movement in the fuel tank which is usually a pretty good indicator of whether something will be "eaten" by vibration or not!!!!
Looks GREAT....

Stan, thanks again for the compiments. This has been a fun project so far. As far as the servo on its side that steers the rear wheels for ground taxi. Not something I do a lot of but the full size can do it so I thought it would be cool touch. I have that servo slaved to the rudder control.

Thanks Jason and yes please copy away. It is nice that anyone would like my ideas enough to copy them.

Free Bird, yes the micro servo opens and closes the tailgate completely. I have it set on a slider switch on my 9CHP so I can open the gate halfway for flight or all the way while on the ground.

On the slider, very cool idea. What servo are you using and what is the length of the servo arm?
