My Posts This: Topic Forum | The OS91SZ-HPS only has TWO Needles. One for midrange and another for the Top end adjustment.
The idle screw is not a needle as such and you CANNOT turn this screw more than + or - 90 degrees from the factory default centre setting!!
Looking at the factory default setting of the Idle screw - Assume this position is 12 o'clock, set the idle screw to approx the 1 o'clock position ie turn it slightly clockwise from the factory setting.
Fully screw in the Mid and Top End needles.
Open the Mid to either 1/4 or 1/2 turn (no more) from the fully closed position.
Open the Top End Needle 1 and 1/2 turns out from fully closed.
Use these settings as an approx start point (they should be a little rich but by not too much). If the motor is new, open the top end needle an extra 1/4 turn to be on the safe side.
Note that some even run the mid needle fully closed - so just be aware of that. With 30% your Top end needle should be approx around the 1 and 1/4 to 1 and 1/2 turns out from fully closed when tuned. |
