Hello MICHELIN

About the carbon battery plate: is the ref number you gave us including the metal parts and screws to bolt it to the main frame?

Thanks

The CF battery plate comes with the metal parts and the bolts. So no need to worry about those. In fact, they are nothing but the metal landing skid mounting blocks.

conversion kit SV4 to SVE6 now released for sale according to JR website

ref 61369
Price 42000 JPY

Content:
CNC Main gear
Auto rotation housing
HG Bearing case
HG tail pipe holder
Frame brdige (at bottom of motor based on pictures)
HG cross members
Pinion T12 T14 T17
Carbon battery mount
Stabilizer bar L340
Brushless Motor NHM-40-16BL(1,050rpm/V)
ESC is not included since 4S version is OK up to 6S

Honnestly, that sounds quite expensive to me.
Most parts are probably same as the existing K&S options.
Only the motor and "frame brdiges" are really specific / new.

And battery plate! I received a scan of the SVE 6S main exploded views and parts list from RC Champ. I can give you some ref number if needed. Main gear is different from the K&S one. Probbaly a little cheaper to produce. The K&S main gear is really beautiful but use the same one-way bearing as the VE/SVE 3-4S kits. Looks like the one from the SVE6S is stronger.

Hi,

The part number of the longer (440mm) stabilizer bar is JR83057.

Main rotor grips are also updated, but not included in the conversion kit, with longer linkage balls just like those used on T-REX 500's and others.

Michael,

I just took a glance at the grip at a LHS and didn't check
its part number, but my guess is that the newer grip shares the same part number as the older one because they are just a replacement, not a 6S version specific part.

Correct. First version was with a 2mm screw holding the ball and a conical aluminum part on the grip (2mm thread then). Last October i received a SVE4S that already had the new blade grips with one piece ball linkage using 3mm thread. My guess is the older version would break too easely in a crash. With high probability for the screw to break inside the grip making it good for garbage. You may order only the new ball linkage, enlarge the hole in the blade grip using a reamer (small job to do) and then make the new 3mm thread.

hey guys

since i've lost my protos yesterday, i'm trying to find a good replacement.

If i'll go back to electrics, i would like to use the following stuff...

I got a yge60 brushless esc and would like to use a 6s1p a123 2300mAh pack.

what RPM could I use on the SVE 3S as maximum? can't really find out what's better.

as a motor, i would like to get a specially made strecker brushless with the correct rpm/V. looking at a max power of about 900W-950W continious. poor batteries, but they'll make it :-)

so guys, what head speed should i'll be pointing at? I'd use 430mm radix blades and 72mm radix on the tail. doing very light 3d, more basic acrobatics like rolls, loops, inverted, etc.

thanks
florian

I never flown the SVE3S but the old Voyager E sharing the same rotors (with a few mods on the SVE) and the SVE4S.

Honestly i think 2000rpm is a maximum on the plastic rotorhead. 1800-1900 is what you should haim at.

SVE4S, SVE6S and Vibe 500E share the same head. I use 2800 rpm without any problem. 15 months of flights. No wear except 2 ball link i will need to change soon. So 3000rpm is probably easy to get without troubles.
