Ok guys, lets do some comapring, first, yes, raptor titan sells for $400, but the better equipped JR airskipper, aka the mini Vibe sells for $550. The upgraded quality of the materials and flying performance on an airskipper is unparralleled and its only $150 more. It has a partial metal head and G10 type stacked frames. It is an awesome machine.

NOW, the 600N goes a step further by having more of a metal head, torque tube upgrade, carbon fiber non-stacked frames, and it isnt even out yet, and the price is only $50 more. If you want to compare a so-so machine to a quality one, then you will see a price jump. Do this... add all those upgrades to a raptor titan and see if you can do it for less than at least $700... put it in perspective and you really see that the 600N is going to be an awesome machine for the price...

But Honey, I can't live with just stock.....

Yep,
Its a killer machine. I think the price includes the RX battery and regulator too, but I am not sure. I will wait for the G10 version which will be a great deal for what you get. The Trex 600 is about the best flying 50 sized heli out there, I have never had so much fun with a heli before owning it, and shortly I will have a nitro version of it to complement it. THey will share most of the spare parts and should fly very similarly. I for one cant wait for my G10 Nitro 600

Why are people comparing the 600usd Pro version to a Poxy Raptor

The 600N g10 version at $400 is miles better in spec than the outdated ripoff price, plastic headed Craptor

Ive had several Raptors over the years, they are outdated and the Align 600 electric or Nitro is far superioir in every way

What other 50 helis are there on the ,market with the same spec as the Nitro Pro? and how much are they?

Comparing any Align heli to a Raptor is a bloody insult

its ALL over priced if you ask me. electric, nitro, whatever. its a supply and demand issue really. if there were as many heli flyers as there is say golfers then we would see that 300 price range more often.

If price is an issue then just wait till next February for the aniversary sale! And by then there will be tons of mods and upgrades. By then the 500 and 700 will be out, as well as the plutoniumpoly batteries and 15 new bad a$$ motor/esc combos. It truely is an ever changing hobby.

dezflyer i have to disagree with you on the golfers comment. Prices for decent golf equipment aren't going down at all even with more folks golfing each year. All the major brand names (callaway, ping, mizuno, taylormade, and titleist) do spend more $ on advertising than reducing costs to consumers. Having more folks flying helis is likely to have the same results. all the major brands are likely to increase their advertising budget than offer significantly cheaper kits.

walmart used to NOT sell r/c planes or heli's.
in 3-5 years you may see aligns at walmart. a good marketing person would have already contacted them.
over 50,000 t-rex sold in 2005- not sure about last year.
tell me walmart would not want some of that action.......

only you have the power to make no difference!

Wallmart ..... can you imagine what price they would pay Align for the helis's ...... would kill any profit Align are currently making! They should stay well away

the thing about walmart is that it is targeted towards the basic consumer, not the hobbyist. I'm sure Align would see the peril in selling even pre-built trex's to walmart, seeing the dangers involved in giving the incapable public the ability to fly helis with 600mm blades into crowds of people. if this truly is not the case, then I guess our hobby really is in danger.. but I doubt that is the case.

Walmart forces companies to cheapen the product and packaging before allowing it on their shelves.

Imagine a cheapened Align

Honk ... before it becomes offensive.

Aligns program of constant improvements, brought into regularly updated kit's, with sensible pricing.

Great marketing approach will ensure that they will annihilate the 50 class market, 'no doubt'

I agree Colsy

They seem to have their heads screwed on and Bob Johnson is a clever bloke as well, his teaming up with them to form Align Uk will only help the Nitro 600 dominate the 50 scene in a year or so

Align seem to be able to produce products of high quality, good price and to everybodys taste

Bob,

When do you anticipate getting the T-rex 600N in stock?

And I know the question everybody wants to know is what will they be sold for in the UK both the PRO and the G10 version?

Raptor50luvver,

Will wait to see the exact difference between the 2 versions but if it really is only carbon frames/G10 and torque tube against/belt - I'll hold out till 5th June for the G10 and belt version, at £235 ish that is going to be great value.

My Raptor 50 is on standby for the operation!!!

From what i gathered the Pro has carbon frames,TT,metal tail gearbox and painted canopy

The g10/belt one has plastic tail gearbox and plain white canopy with decals

Both i think have the thrust races in the tail bladegrips

Combos with engine and regulated power supply follow later

Hopefully Bob being the main man for Align here now will correct me if i have heard wrong

Chris
