Futaba J connector to a JR receiver

Good day. I have a quick question to ask:

Can someone direct me to any vendor (or a link to one) that sells a simple interface that allows a male Futaba J connector, and a JR receiver to connect so that I do not have to remove the notch from the servo end?

Removing the notch from the Futaba [male] connector is a somewhat painful exercise. All I am looking for is a "Female J connector to a standard male JR connector".

I am using Futaba servos with a JR receiver for one of my helis. Thank you in advance!

The problem with the "interface" you are looking for is that it adds a pair of pins. Historically, connectors are a week point of wiring harnesses, and their numbers should be minimized.

What would be better is a JR connector that fit Fut pins! Then you could simply switch the ends. No one makes one that I'm aware of, though you could cut the entire end off and install new pins that fit JR style connectors.

Why is it painful to remove the tab? I just shave it off with a sharp knife, making it look like a "normal" connector.
If you're located in Trinidad as in the Caribbean island, and can spare a plane ticket, I'll happily pay a visit and modify all your connectors!

just shave off the tab as Mr. Playfair says.

you'll need to also take a few swipes w/ the blade to the
chamfered edges but it's a 10sec. operation.

or consider getting new JR connectors and lift the plastic finger,
slide the pin out and slide it into the new JR housing

Thank you for your timely response.

I was just wondering if one was ever "invented". Okay, it is not really a "pain" (no problems removing the tab).

Regarding that trip to the Caribbean, well, am......

Hi guys

Yes you do get an adaptor cable.....it is a cheap extention cord with a Futaba female on the one end and a Futaba looking male plug on the other....but it has no tab. I have seen them in 50mm lengths.

The other thing, why mess up the good Futaba plug by cutting the tab off. Why not grind/cut slots into the JR Rx. If you want to change back to a standard setup a new Rx case is cheap and easy to replace. Futaba servo leads need to be soldered on...9 cables at 3 joints per cable.....27 solder joints vs. 2 screws ?????
