Those that are buying both, the 500 3D and the 600 3D are there any reasons why not just buy one 600 3D or two 600 3d's if you love them...Just wondering if I should skip the 500 3D if I am getting a 600 3D?

5003d has the L10 head (good for up to 550mm blades)
6003d will have the L14 head (good for blades in the 600-650mm range)

Then you will have boom dia etc..

Most people just like the size of the L10/500. It's very quick, light and a little more economical.

Economy

I like the L10 for the economy. It flies beautifully on 6S, reletively cheap and I don't have to worry too much about killing my car battery at the field when re-charging. I can fly it in small fields so I keep it in my car for roadside stops to/from work or when driving somewhere.
I had a t-rex for the same reason but I got tired of all those crappy little parts that were never correct from the factory, and it just doesn't fly as well due to the small size.

I'd have to agree with lowflyer on this one.
I'm getting a good kick from my logo 10's.

One of the reasons I like the new 6003D is because of the giant boom.

Otherwise I'll probably just end up getting a 5003D eventually after they are released..

Every detail counts!

Keep in mind you can use the newer size booms on the 500 as well.

It might be the best to go with the 600 with the stronger L14 head and then you can put any length blades and boom to suit your needs.

Of course, then you get into the whole do you need the L14 head / larger boom for 500mm blades etc... with the extra weight.......

Either way it will be nice to "mix and match".

I think I got my plan...Will buy the 500 for now since I have a 450se and dragonus elite and eraptor 620se. When/if I get tired of my eraptor I will pull the electronics and just put it in the 600 since it is not coming out for awhile anyhow and the 500 is coming out first.

L500

I agree, I like the size of the L10/500.

Since I already have a completely aluminum head and swashplate on my L10, it doesnt seem that I need the 3D model for the upgrade. Are there any other differences between the 500 and 5003D....it says the 3D is 'full ball raced'. What is that, and how then, is the other put together?...partially ball raced???

oilite washers. (copper spacers that don't require lubrication with precise tolerances to work as a bearing)
they use them in the head instead of bearing on the grip pitch mixing levers etc. I think the tail has them too in the pitch slider arm pivot.
Also, the washout mixers are ball raced as opposed to hinge pins with E clips.

Every detail counts!

Hot 6003D subject

so, what is going to be the hot setup for the 6003D,
seems like this heli. is going to be slightly smaller then a 700 blade heli.
Regarding battery - will this be the same long 10S brick or can I use two seperate 5S packs.
I am trying to figure out what the benefit here is over the L14 and what blade length will be optimal for the 600,

I just finished the Razor and love it, but was thinking of the 6003D to swing slightly longer blades without having to go to the IonX-2.

I am thinking the 6003D might give the IONX-2 a run for the money - what do you guys think?

the 6003D is going to eat the razor alive, seriously. Much lighter and with the Logo head it should be a phenominal machine. It will have the charachteristics of course of the current L14, yet more precise due to FS servos. Several improvements within the tail drive system will really help as well. I am certain it will be for sure the hottest HV 50 Size E heli on the market as the L14 has been for alot of years allready.

Ion is a 90 size machine, so the 6003D and Ion can not really be compared.

There is a discussion going on new hot setups for the new Logos on the freak in the Mikado forum, cheers.

I'll be running a Z50A-600 (not sure of main gear count yet) on 15s1p a123 with 620mm blades. Should be the best rocket ship ride for $150 in battery costs.

Raptor or Logo

Question:

considering purchasing a larger E helicopter. I am in Ontario Canada (Toronto. I really like..... the logo helicopter and have heard many good things and they are well like on the forums. I also really like the raptor E620SE but it is very difficult to choose. Wife says I can't have both..lol Battery costs are of consideration as well. I am looking for a mild setup and perhaps a scale body to put on it. When are the logo's going to be for sale. Bill

The new Logos should be out sometime late May. As for the Rap E620, if you want a flying brick that's a great choice. If you want a light, quality engineered model, go with the Logo.

Personally, I expect to buy a Logo 5003D kit when I eventually (touch wood) lawn-dart my Logo 10. Until then I'll just keep going with the Logo 10.
Also, I'm selling my house soon, and I'm finding it hard to resist the urge to splash out on a 600

Setup for L103D/L5003D: help

Hello i want to buy a new heli and i see in flight the Logos.

So is better to wait the new 5003D or the L103D with 550mm do the job?

And what about the best setup?

Setup: the best, the more expensive one:
Motor: Tango 45-10
ESC: kontronic 55A (or is better 80A?)
Lipo: TP 3850 6S or Evo25 3700 6S
Servos: 9650s
Gyro: Logictech T6100
Blades: 550mm SAB fiber

Setup: Cheaper one but always with power:
Motor: Neu 1910/1Y
ESC: CC 85HV
Lipo: TP 3850 6S or Evo25 3700 6S or something with more Amps?
Servos: 9650s
Gyro: futaba 401/9254
BEC: Align 6A BEC
Blades: 550mm fiber

There will be big differences between the two setups?
Of course i'm oriented to the second one but if Kontronic makes a big difference in power and the plus cost is ok, than i go for setup1.

Let me know thanks
