They just don't seem to have it togther and have made some real questionalble business desicions.

That remains to be seen, all business decisions are a gamble.

They should have kept their out sourced part suppiers until the China factory was up and producing pred parts to ensure part supply.

I would think that if they out sourced the parts before they could easily out source them now from the same vendors. It may have more to do with price. You can’t sell something for less than it cost you to produce it. That is why people go to China in the first place.

Do you remember when Walmart got started and their motto was “made in America” now it’s pretty much import from China. It is easy to blame Walmart for the change but really it is the consumer that forces the change.

The Predators are all gone because the price is right. If the Price of the Predator was equal to the Bergen for instance they wouldn’t sell like hot cakes.

If they see them selling so well why didn't they order more spares, More sold more spares going to be needed... or is that the part they didnt understand?

After all there's more machines to crash now

CenturyUK are just as bad I dread the day I bend my Pred gasser I really do. Its been free of problems for a year now and still not crashed

Bad news is I got a predator 90 now that will crash and getting parts becomes bad i'll sell it as soon as its fixed.

You can cogitate all day long but one fact remains, Century has been too dry for too long. Somebody over at Century blew it.

......and you get a hell of a good bird for a good price......

everyone is complaining about a mistake that is maybe 6 or 7 months of troubles...so what? After parts are back in stock and everything is back to normal it will all be forgotten. I don't hold anything against them...it was a mistake (hopefully they realize this) and it happens. Most of us in the cold climates won't even realize there was a shortage because of the short flying season. I can however feel sympathy for those that have the advantage of all year flying and waiting for parts.....

Incidentally, I have place three orders for parts with heliworld in the past two months and have gotten the parts I needed. I had to wait for a few of them but not so bad that I would thrash the company. Besides, where does that get you anyway?

I have talked myself into going gas, Predator gas . . . . but,

When I started helis, I started with a Falcon. Went through at least 3 of them. After getting fed up with the attitude of the owner, I switched to Raptors.

Then, not too long ago, Century "bought" a few good pilots as rep's to show case the Predator and within a year, most of them left for what smells like the same problem I had.

Now the parts shortage . . . .

True, they have variety and low prices. But if you don't deliver . . . .

They have been in business long enough to know better . . . . you would think.

Thank you Century for being honest, it would have been easier just to have said this from the start. I appreciate people and companies that are honest and willing to admit their errors.

My responce was based on info from all you Century Gasser owners.
Holding on the phone for long times ,,rude people on the phone,,lack of parts, no info from the company etc, I got this from you folks reading this forum! Do a search!

Hey Jester.. closer to the equator 6 or 7 months is a whole season of flying. If you are happy with them ,fine..
I wouldn't be happy is all and feel bad for all the unhappy Century Gasser owners that have complained.

I sold my Predator gasser late last year for just that reason. Great flying machine and well designed. It flew nicely - quick on cyclic and yet stable in a hover. However, couldn't get parts AND Century will not let any aftermarket manufacturers make replacement parts either. Wouldn't be much of an issue if you could get aftermarket spindles, booms, and other common crash spares.

That being said, I remember a couple years back when Thunder Tiger went through the same thing. I agree, it's not acceptable, but TT recovered well. It was just a temporary "speed bump". In my past experience, I was not happy with the customer service that Century provided via telephone. As everyone else reported, wait times were too long on hold and then to be greeted by rudeness on the other end.....

I phone once last fall, for the size of the o-rings for the boom bearing holders, and the guy that answered was very polite and I got my answer with in a minutes or two he had to go to the wear-house for the answer, so I had no problems with Century for that, but one thing I dislike a lot is if you don't have credit card you cannot order parts, so I am up s*it creak with out a paddle! if some thing happens pay-pal would have been so easy! so I am thinking of selling my Gasser.

My point to all of you is that, yes, 6-7 months is a long time for you guys that fly all year (stated that in my post), but there is no sense is getting all crazy about it. I am actually quite difficult to please, but realistic. Someone posted that they bought a new Honda Goldwing, and could not get replacement parts for it when new. What does that tell you? Even a giant like Honda makes mistakes such as century did. Here is Canada, as well as northern US the flying season is shorter than some of you guys. I assume that Century made their move late in the season as to not disrupt EVERYBODY.

I have to say the machine was build nice and fly nice for a resonable price as for beginner to start with ,but the main reason is not the heli century itself ,is the people who work in century are very rude asnwering the phone called and esp with question as a beginner .most of the time they will put u on hold for a while than later they hang up on u i find most of the sevice of century fellow are the same equal rude ,unless u know that person seem kinder garden ,
